Orianthi seems like a cool girl, shes quite attractive, a decent guitarist and an ok singer but she is often passed off by the media as some kind of virtuoso, she is far from a virtuoso and tbh she hasn't actually written anything particularly memorable or great yet, one day maybe, but so far its all mediocrity.

Sounds like any Guitar Center on a Saturday morning in America. People are "wowed" with the fact that she's young, cute and can play some licks. In this day and age it's a strange juxtaposition because we've seen packaged, no-talent T&A pop singers for the last 12 years. So when a cute chick can play some average/slightly above average licks people lose their minds. It really speaks volumes about how low the musical bar has fallen in the last 10 years. Yeah but she´s only 25 . Of ourse her technique isn´t that guitar-god-like as those untaught pop fans (those who compare her to Taylor Swift , Lady Gaga ,etc.) describe it . I think she has the potential to be on the same level as Clapton,Santana or Moore or whoever else one day. She isn´t worse than Bonamassa , Mayer or Trucks but she has to leave that commercial path she takes at the moment and go back to her blues and RockNRoll roots . I guess I already mentioned Violet Journey (2005).
