@rogermorsee Nope, you may not have notice since he has his super meter to refill, but he FADC'd two times during that combo so he wouldn't have been able to continue it. That is unless you're talking about doing it in training mode, then yes.

To make it go straight use light punch. to make it go slightly higher use medium, then to make it go diagonal in the air use heavy punch when you do hadouken :)

This combo itself is not really, practical, but mastering those links, you'll be able to find smaller combos easier to link, but be able to have longer ones than the 'scrubken' combO.

For example, i've done, and recieved Balrogs like, near 20 hit combo online due to linking.

It just opens possibilities.

There is no good reason the needlessly complicate a combo system with links. The game should focus on the thought and strategy required to land the combo in the first place instead of making them more execution dependent.

I beat Gouken all the time when I go Zangief. It's easy enough to get near him, and once you knock him down you just play about with jump in body splash and jump in -> no air attack -> SPD. Unfortunately there's so many characters that can beat Zangief with one move repeated. Gouken doesn't seem to be able to though.

30 seconds looking on youtube and I found a combo video showcasing lots of intense combos by all sorts of other characters that AREN'T banned, and they're all about the same idea as this.

Pretty much any 10-20 hit combo will do about this much damage and look this impressive.

I think the reason gouken is banned is more like, chargable+aimable projectiles and the ability to throw into an ultra, plus high and low counters. I've actually heard that his normal moves are lackluster.

It's more like a soft ban, tournaments can choose to ban or not ban him. I think the same goes for seth (who you need to be INCREDIBLY competent with before he starts to seem OP). I think akuma is like this too, no idea why, he takes hits like a total bitch now.

I dont really agree with banning gouken, but I haven't really seen him played all that much. Although his counters can do some pretty absurd shit and can counter moves they have no right countering with how the animation is.

yup, people consider banning gouken because he's new, and people don't like change.  Tournament players are so great because they play against the same shit over and over, they're scared that a pro gouken is gonna come along and ruin their day. It really degrades the tourney scene as a whole, that they're so worried about their reps that they can't let something new shine. People are only as good as they let others see them be ;)

countering a fireball does absolutely nothign that using a focus attack couldn't do unless you're point blank in their face, and it's awfully hard to predict a fireball in time to counter it that close. You can't even use it if you're low on life. it is good but in no way broken. If you never miss your counter then you're playing against horrible people lol. And yes, that's why it's an EX, because it takes METER to use :P

every character has a stun bar number... in this example i know that zang's is 1200. he needs 275 more stun damage to knock him into stun mode. the 518 damage is obviously his 1200 health bar.

Does the stun meter regenerate? I haven't played much third strike but I remember there was a meter under the health bar that would go up when you got hit and then would go back down after awhile. I'm assuming that is the stun bar is it like that for SF4?

yes that red bar underneath the health was the stun meter... unfortunately there is no visible stun meter while in game for SF4 but thats what the stun damage would be if it were visible.

I hate to use my bar to cancel moves so i try to EX my moves. Senkugoshoha - Gohadouken - Tatsumaki Gorasen or Shin Shoryuken work pretty well for me. Of course only in a corner or else you have to cancel the Senkugoshoha. I try to use these 3 moves EX'd to finish my combos.

Actually it's exactly what I said. Seth (and I believe Gouken) were banned from Final Round. Final Round is DEFINITELY a Major.

That said, Final Rounds ban did not go down without a huge deal of controversy. But I'm just sayin'. Seth HAS been banned at ONE Major tournament.

But screw that shit of course. Seth and Gouken aren't banned until people manage to show that they should be. Why Final Round did it is beyond me.
