Getting a home inspection will make a huge difference when buying a home. I purchased a home that SGI completed and everything looked great besides some minor touches that needed to be fixed. Make sure all your mechanical items are inspected with rehabs! A friend of mine lost their shirt on a patched roof job with poor contractors.

that's what a house inspector is for just call him before you buy the house to see if everything is up to par with the standards and codes
