lol 4hrs a day my ass nigga an hour of this was lifting and the rest was stunt work and cardio for like maybe 30 min, and on creatine and whey, and in 3 months he wouldnt be shit, it takes years to get into good muscular shape, im sure he was in good shape already tho thats why it too so short of time
Dudes whatever is your diet (4/5/6 meals), to get these results in less than 3 months you have to do roids otherwise it takes at least a year if you only do proteins shakers and food. There are production contracts behind all of this : actors are not allowed to tell about roids and chemical products they are comitted to take.
4 hours training a day in 3 months without roids and they get these "flawless" shapes?! Ahahaha.. my ass :)
@Gr3gster It's not like he had the body of a 12 year old girl first is it. He obviously was in shape prior to the training and just got toned for the film
he looked like that in 300 because of the special effects, Arnold confirmed that by calling Mark Canton the producer which told him he looks like that only by the computer(sry for my english)
@millitige In a previous video he said that he traied for 3 months before the movie, then an additional 3 weeks or something. So probably about 4 months of hard-core training.
@sarvelaj yeah and watch what he became after the movie..a chubby fatass. thats why roids do when u stop doing them and stop training. u go back to what u really are.
Search up Gym Jones and click the first link you see, dubbed with "Power, Speed, Endurance, Suffering, and Salvation. , read Mark Twight's rants on the training he made the actors do. Also, just watch the video at the bottom. Not all muscle is made with steroids, some people just have zero patience and no determination to get to the places Butler did naturally.
@Doodooma thanks. very interesting but i was talking about Butler. u can see him after the movie 300 totally put of shape. ive been training with weights since 1990 and know who is real and who is cheating
alright well we are all entitled to our opinions , no harm done. I just think Butler is generally a lazy shit (which is true), and just didn't do any physical activity after filming. Jake Gyllenhaal went couch potato after Prince of Persia, Bradley Cooper went couch potato after A-Team, and you can clearly see they are just out of shape in later films, because they aren't training, not because of roids. You can't get ripped, and just stay like that, you gotta maintain.
@Doodooma theyr not training after the movie because theyr not into training. thats what im saying. AND u dont get these muscles so fast unless u take something. Because i dont think these actors train and workout as hard as a pro athlete, right? today it's so funny u see actors that smoke and drink look better and LOOK in a great shape suddenly from one year to another even if theyr in their late 30s...weird. then u see pro athletes in basketball soccer triathtlon that look worse than them
athletes don't train for visual impact, but physical performance. Bigger doesn't mean stronger. Actors want visual impact muscle, while an athlete doesn't care about looks, they just need to perform the best. Micheal Phelps and David Beckham don't have very good physiques. Visually the cast of 300 looks better, but athletes could destroy them in a competition. Age, pfft, Mark Twight is 50 and is fitter than 90% of people. It's not roids, its just eating, and eating ALOT.
@Doodooma true. here is where roids come in. eating? BULLSHIT. eating makes u fat. eating with roids makes u bigger. U DONT HYPERTROPHY IN 7 MONTHS and specially when ur over 30 just because ur eating! im sorry dude...go ask anyone that bodybuilds and that doesnt lie.
@giugnhgbvinierngvb89 ACTUALLY. My cousin is a personal trainer, and when I asked him for tips on how to get bigger, the first thing he said was food. He's fucking humungous. ;d
@MCfleghm in what particular case? a close to 40 guy that is not a pro and trained for a few months and totally changed his body because of hard training and strict diet? dude, its not THAT easy. thats the way of gaining mass but but this case is different. its called roids. u can gain muscle but not that fast unless u do roids. the world would be full of muscle guys if the process was THAT easy...
@mymailbox4404 Tsk. Tsk. The overused and tired bitch is now a hypocrite. Maybe if you pulled the stick out of your ass, you could have some fun and people would like you. But sadly, you are too stupid. Call me a "douchefuck" all you want, it just makes you look like more of a fuck face with no life. So go ahead. Call me whatever sad little name you can come up with. Make yourself even more of an ass. Please. Be my guest.

Sorry to say there will always be uneducated little sheep running around showing their muscles trying to put fear into others, yet they are the ones who are truly weak.
I've been working out for nearly 15 yrs. When your in the gym lifting like a motherf@#$er do you sit and count your lifts??? I'd be straining so hard I'm worried about keeping my eyes in their sockets...LOL
When you lift something..it's not slow. Do a litle research. If it works for you fine, but giving somebody advice that has Clearly been proven wrong is another story.Slow down is fine and dandy, that is called a negative rep, but exploding up builds fast twitch fibers for more muscle. 4 seconds up means nothing.I'm 6'3 and my dad is 6'8.If you are 5'5 4 seconds won't be the same as everybody elses 4 seconds...resistance wise.
fast twitch fiber's are best used in slow tension. but it really depends what your goal is. if you want hypertaphy then go slow. doesn't have to be 4 seconds just still has to be slow. if you want power you do it fast. but that's the way i lernt in my fitness course.
Sufficient resistance will activate fast twitch (and slow twitch) fibers regardless of the speed of the movement. Going slow on a negative rep means you don't drop the weight and flex the muscle just at the bottom, but that the muscle stays flexed through the whole set. If you go up too fast, there is a zero-near-zero time when no muscle is in use, therefore the speed must be appropriate both ways, to keep maximum tension in the muscles at every point of the full movement.
depends on what your goal is. that would be for power, but if you want hypertaphy you would go by the metric scale. concenrtic contractions are best done slow and essentric fast. isometric obviously has no movement at all. so yeah for bigger muscles do slow reps going up for the concentic and faster for essentric.
p.s. i just finnish my course in fitness about 2 months ago and i'm a fittnes instructor at my gym "City Fitness"
don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure I read in Men's Health magazine they would train 4 hours, rest, eat, then do weapon training (shield, spear, sword) for another 4 hours.
The discussion is funny. You can easily train 7 days a week by changing up training modalities, not just bodyparts. Changing from technique based to strength based to speed and explosive strength conditiong based and then anaerobic based conditioning is kind of optimal. Training stimulus accumulation leads often to increased compensatory response.
If you train like these guys here, make sure to have taper weeks and change up training modalities.

I understand, I mean full body-aerobics workouts 7 days a week are possible but i agree u can't keep breaking down a muscle and not letting it heal. Yeah I do take them, also i try to get a lot of vitamen c in my diet(helps with skin conditioning-at least thats what my $150 nutrition text book says), and I moisturize a lot. So i'm ok for now but i look at my dad's arms and stomach and my sisters and its just inevitable if i grow to fast. i'll get to where i want soon- not like im in olympia lol
Since you seem to know what you're talking about, let me ask a question. Do you need to do a certain amount of workout per day to have muscle gain? Or is that just for cardio? ie: Can you just do arms one day a week, and each body part likewise on one day a week and still have gain in each part? That seems strange to me.
