Prisons have a single purpose- to make you never want to go back. The idea is to make you so scared of going back that you will stop breaking the law and lead a decent life.

You want a three star treatment then get an education, a job and cease anti-social behaviour! It's the law!

MISTREATMENT of prisoners HARDENS them - that is what SCIENCE says. Go to Google Scholar and search articles on that. Treating them well, making them learn trade, school etc will make them better people when they come out.

Like you I have a zero tolerance to some types of criminals and see no sense affording them the opportunity to live among the decent.I'm a shamed my my mind went as far as: "who gives a f@$#% if the cholera dead are the murders Kibaki wants to release". Prison reforms some people but even in the developed world,most prisons are populated by ex-prisoners.These people just wanna kill,rape and do things normal people wouldn't do.With no Australia to ship them can someone please swallow the key!!

How can prisoners die in the hands of the government? This is very suspect coming at this time when the coaliation government is under watch by the international community!
