What a great place. Took a motorcycle trip to The Rock in '97. Some of the worst weather i've been in for 5 days getting there (except for the N. Sydney - Port Aux Basques ferry trip... that was a great day!) until we got to Gander - then it was nice. The absolutely best people - stop and wave even to bikes coming into town. Hat's off to Angus Philpott from North Harbour (all these years later) for helping us out when we needed a lift to Argentia. I'd love to go back for more - someday!

Love this! Never been to Francois. YET! I'm from Burin Peninsula and the SW coast is about the only part of the entire province - including all of Labrador - that I've not yet been to. Sooooo, is on my 'to do' list, and this just makes me want to go that much more!
