So to is used for 10 misc things and also means pagoda . It get you somehow confused when words that count means other words .

wait wait... doesn't nihon mean japan? but here it means two things? also... doesn't hom mean book? so if you say ni hon, that means two books?

Nihon means Japan hon is also used to count for examples to bottles of beer is biru ni-hon i don't know what else you can count whit it and yes hon means book .

The characters used to write those words are different, so even if they are pronounced the same, you can't get them confused:

日本 - Japan

二本 - two narrow items

Good grief, there's something as instensive as this that lasts 4 hours a day?!? THe info is good, but fast, with no chance at retention. I guess you just have to watch it over and over to retain the info.

When I lived in Germany, we had 4 of those in the garden, it's wonderfull to use theire shadow in summer and to feel the blossoms raining down on you in autumn..
