oyoyoy, sorry for my confusion - yes, he was born in Hukvaldy, but he moved to Brno as a child (at the age of 11), and Brno remained the place of work for the rest of his life. Předpokládám, že to víte :)) Sometimes I include comments without careful checking, and you are right in this case - hometown=rodné město. My apologies. Hudbafan

Oh hell. I live in the Czech republic and he's Czech also. Born in Hukvaldy 1854, then moved to Brno where there is now his music academy of art.

Taras Bulba was from Zaporozh'e, not Caucasus.
