Nobody was throwing stones or molotov cocktails when the army attacked the demonstration. Neither is the demonstration illegal, Israel has no jurisdiction over Bil'in nor does it have any right to build walls on land which does not belong to it. Israel needs to comply with international law and withdraw to its legal borders, simple as.

If the wall was built for security it would have been built along Israel's border, not 85% of it taking an illogical (that is, illogical if it was for security) twisting and turning route going through Palestinian territory incorporating the most arable land and major settlement blocks, leaving 15% of the West Bank on the Israeli side. It's a land grab, and several Israel politicians (like Livni, Olmert, Barak) have acknowledged that the purpose of the wall is to expand Israel's borders.
