@DeathG4n It is not surprising that 40% of American scientists are religious because America is an extremely Christian country. However, worldwide, scientists are by far predominantly atheist. Dawkins, like many scientists, only points out the fact that the basis of many religions are very unlikely. No one can say for sure where the universe comes from, but it is possible to logically discard certain hypotheses. Science has answered a lot about the universe whilst religion hasn't.

@arcn4 The point is that those priests commited those awful acts, and their "god-given morals" didnt guide them one jot. Mind you, I am not sure if the bible specifically forbids rape so they didnt break any biblical rules as far as I am aware (happy to be corrected).
Even if they did break gods rules, the thing is, that they believe in god and jesus and will probably have "repented" and asked for forgiveness. So by god's rules they are just fine and will probably go to heaven. Divine Justice?

People living longer means there are more people the planet has to carry, we as a community have to carry.
