  • listen to your ham radio on 12-21-2012.

  • i converted mine to 11 meters it a great rig now after i modded it a bit on rx with the sockie diodes and super mic gain as well for that punch audio

  • 素敵な無線機です。

  • ..very nice and old Transceivers - congrats....

73s from southern germany de Mike

  • Hello from : AE4UJ

  • Very good.

  • What is the rig left of the Yaesu? Nice station..

  • yall need to get rid of all that ham shit and get you a good cobra 2000 and an antron 99, antrons got way more db than the biggest ham beam and can key on any ham shit, it takes a PRO to do cb'ing, anyone can do ham

  • I think it is the other way around..Anyone can be a CB'er, But takes a PRO TO BE A HAM! HAHAHA..One day maybe you can be a ham..You never answered what frequency you operate on..

  • Im a CBer and not a ham but this comment is just stupid. A CB wont have shit on ham on many things. One which would be very long distance communications, emergency, and informational communications.

The point of any radio is not being able to key on anybody. And who cares about db when you can talk all over the world?

The best you could do on a CB even with skip and power is other states with rare chances of another country.

  • long distance my ass, yall gotta have repeaters to talk 2 blocks, we're WORLLLDWIDE

  • "yall gotta have repeaters to talk 2 blocks"

CBers need fucking 6000 watts to barely get across a state.

You obviously dont know anything about radio frequencies. Certain HAM frequencies can go 10 times the distance on half the power of a CB.

    "we're WORLLLDWIDE"

    No you arent.

  • And also the vast majority of CBers dont know the first thing about electronics. Thats why most need techs. The design of some CB linear amplifiers show poor build quality also.

HAMs however need to know a fair amount of electronics and other things such as conditions and operating in them.

The money you spend on power does not mean how much skill you have.

  • shit, them ole ham radios are junk compared to our radios, plus ours aint no boring black color we got chrome.

  • HAM radios are quality designed to meet strict regulations unlike your pill boxes. That alone proves you wrong.

  • Antron the biggest dummy load on the planet!!

Sirio 827 is the way to go

  • ZXROMEO > "you're hoping for doomsday"

You really have misconceptions about ham radio. Yes, ham radio can help when the cellphones and internet go down during a crisis, but can also help with lessor situations (search & rescue, etc). However, equally important, ham radio is an interesting hobby which builds technical skills, provides opportunities to socialize with others, and more. In other words, ham radio, just like any other hobby, is only whatever you make it.

  • passed the exam about a month ago now now and im really enjoying hf at the moment

  • great video I cant wait to get my foundation licence ...wish I had all that space for a long wire.. my garden is only 15 ft long

still i have identified a suitable space for a sloping (mini )G5RV of about 25 feet I hope that works if not I will go mobile hope to meet on the bands sometime once I have passed 73 kind regards Adrian

  • thats why you bulid a coil or a tower

  • love the lder rigs ,and as for the yanks never met a bad one yet have a good freind wb8nmk ron ohio now a get birthday cards xmas cards good family and ham freind great rigs

  • Well don't count on us to save you with that type of attitude.

  • actually cbs will rule, ham sucks

  • Hahah you sure missed the point didnt you?

  • is it legal to rebroadcast this ?

  • Beautiful old rig. Thanks for putting up the video! 73 de vk2dmh, David.

  • My humble opinion, Amateur Radio is the greatest hobby in the world. I have been enjoying this hobby "Playing Radio" for 36 years and look forward to doing it for another 36. If you have a small station or a World Class DX Station the thrill is the same. CQ CQ Working 432mhz - 160m.

  • You are certainly entitled to express your views as you wish, but I, for one want to log my distaste for your choice of terminology--and obvious display of ignorance.

    Live and let live--'fellow ham?'

    DE KC7FYS

  • You dont have to hear them 24/7 & how can you call me ignorant, there's none more ingorant than the average yank op!!!! Never met a polite one who asks if the frequency is in use yet!!!!

  • Fair enough. I haven't met any of these hams, but I'm sure they exist. Best regards, OB.

    Jonathan

    PS. What's your call, anon?

  • G0TXK

  • You've never met a polite yank on the ham bands... judging by your tone here you probably don't come over too polite either and it seems you pre-judge the yanks. I was on 80 meters last night and heard dozens of polite yanks, but then the people doing the CQ were polite too. You get what you give, try it some time.

  • I wish people wert so resizum but Im sorry I dont hate nigers because my sister is white she has a black boy friend but anyway about HAM HF Im not a HAM operator yet but in the next month I will be, I have a Kenwood TS-440s I need an antna and a liscens.

  • Well, I do support free speech. I also support chuckling at folks who talk this way. Freedom of chuckling! Carry on OM.

    PS. Spelling counts.

  • I wouldn't go that far, but here's something to put in your proverbial pipe. One need not touch a candle flame multiple times to know of its temperature.

  • You're getting a little oblique on me. Care to veer into the concrete for my benefit? You went over my head, guy.

PS. Are you actually Amish? I have some EXAmish friends here in Iowa who play bluegrass. Good folks.

  • Mr. Radioham2e0! And why you did not conduct record of a sound from a jack "Record"?

  • Wow, classic rig!

  • Many Thanks for the comments from Louis 2E0LRA
