I dont think theres anything wrong with lip synching. I do agree that sometimes your vocals need to rest especially after being used a lot in a short period of time. And the studio recording version is usually the original recording of the song, the recording sold in cds. Needless to say, i still think she has the most beautiful vocals out there.

ok, i would like to clear things up with the whole lipsync thing...I havec had the opportunity to work on the Taking Chances tour. as far as ''LIVE'' goes, Celine DOES NOT lipsync. For the tv, instead of running the actual audio of Celine, who is actually singing, they run the studio version...I don't know why, but that's the way it is. :)

Both of the songs are from playback. As an avid fan of Celine Dion, you should know the difference of her voice from original recording to when she lipsyncs. But as an avid fan, that doesn't matter because her voice is beautiful no matter what.

there is pre-song footage of back stage discussion ,as to, or not to use pre- recorded material for ,the power of love, celine was having a bad "instrument" day, and said that they are always ready in case she is not able to sing live. i think it was on the cbs special,this tends to happen more in the fall and winter,probably because pollen in the air and cold temps, remember, our idols are people too, they still have every day life to live just like us.

It's not an offence. Even the best singers in the world have to often lip sync. It's type restraint issue not an ability issue. It takes a long time to set the stage for lots of bans/singers. To set the stage to perform this song live with 40 musicians would take 3 days. So unless the performance is part of the artists own concert, you will find many pre-recorded performances. This is often the case with most musical entertainment that you see on television.Not to mention the flute player.

1- they are fake singers, and they have to lip sync ..

2- they are ill/ they have temporary problems with their voice and they can't cancel a show so they have to lip sync or use autotune microphones to tune their pitch.

Céline, as a human being, probably used lip sync or autotune sometimes, but in a normal day, she absolutly need not autotune or lip sync..I heard her Acappella without microphone...she was perfect.

I know that those shows are two different things. My point was that almost all artists mime on those programs. And it was painfully obvious going to the Taking Chances tour that parts of it were mimed. Examples: I Drove All Night, The Power Of Love, My Heart Will Go On. Look up some of the videos on Youtube comparing her performances. Nothing against her but she does mime parts of her concerts.
