can u hook up a shure wireless mic o this mixer??? the model is the sm58 digital mic the cord har 3 little plugs to go in i dont see that kind of plug so can u hook it up??? thanks for the answer..
@pmccallig18 Haha, 2 years later and I still can't give you a solid answer on that one. All I can say is, when I play first person shooters I play inverted. Up is down, and down is up. I have to idea why it just feels more natural. I bet some dj out there is saying the same thing about channel reverse
@EGS3 Thanks for the reply lol...2 years later and i still dont know either. I bought this mixer and broke it unfortuneatly :(...Never got the use of chanell reverse and dont know lol...Thanks for the reply anyway! I always love getting an unexpected reply from years ago :P
@pmccallig18 Here's why. For scratch DJ's from the UK, they prefer to reverse the channels as a personal preference. So, to scratch with sample from the right deck, they'd have the crossfader to the right and have to push it left to turn it on and off, for scratch techniqes. If this doesn't make sense, just PM me, I'll give you a better explanation.
@pmccallig18 It's also called Hamster mode in scratching: up until the early 90s people scratched with the line fader and phono switch as opposed to the crossfader. When you learn on the line fader, pushing up with the thumb is ON, and down with your index is OFF. The crossfader is the opposite orientation; index finger for ON, and thumb for OFF. This reverse switch allows someone of that generation to scratch on the crossfader, the way they learned on the line fader / switch.
haha thanks a lot for that. Means a lot since I watched ellaskins videos a lot and it got me to buy my gear in the first place.
The mixer is really user-friendly. I don't see how you would have any problem. I bought it not knowing anything about djing first hand and I figured everything out within minutes. It's reliable and easy to hook up. It's really a good mixer, no complaints.
It's still widely available. Go to any online shop that sells dj gear and they will have it. Also go to a guitar center store and I bet they will have it available or be able to order it for you.
thanks for the video! i was an aspiring DJ and i was wondering if this would be good for scratching, or would the little knob thing wear out too fast? any help would be greatly appreciated!
I was a little unclear about the headphones cue. Basically if you have the knob turned to cue all youl'' hear in the phones is what turntable you have set as your cue. If it is turned to master you will just hear what is being played out of the speakers in your phones. If it is in the middle you will hear the cue(what the audience can't hear) and the master(what they can hear) together in the headphones. This is a common feauture.
hey man can you use both outputs? the rca master out as a booth monitor? like pioneer mixers? never had a denon but thinking about picking up one

Channel reverse is for scratch djs. Some djs find it easier to scratch with the cross fader reversed.
