Chuck's clean vocals are actually good, I don't know why didn't he record any of them. They do sound little weird when they're "clean clean" (you can hear them on the demos), but this raspy clean is actually one of the best I ever heard.

Chucks voice gets more high pitched on the later records. There are huge differences beween this album and leprosy. That's why I like death. Every album sounds completely different. It is not always bad when a band changes their style (speaking of Metallica: their new music sucks).
Trust me. I NEVER say this about a band or artist, but Metallica's new album really doesn't even sound like music. It sounds like Lou got drunk the night before he recorded the vocals, and the music from Metallica goes from boring, to cringe worthy, to absolutely hilarious.
Death Magnetic has no dynamics whatsoever. It's just produced to be loud, and to make matters worse, they changed their guitar sound to some crappy highschool-band-15W-amp sound, which makes them suck live, too.
