  • The availability of free condoms does not "encourage" people to have sex. People have sex when they're in the heat of the moment; and will do it with or without a condom. It is not a decision based on availability. With that being said, free condoms will only help prevent the potentially high spread of disease and pregnancies, not "increase" it. I am not sexually active on campus; but I will GLADLY give ten bucks for this cause. Do not use religion as a means of neglecting society for what it is

  • This video does not make any sense. Not everyone is Christians or follows by the laws of the Bible. You can not control people who want to have sex or not and for those using the handed out condoms would help students not get any transmitted disease or pregnant.Yes it not a 100% for not getting pregnant and diseases but it can bring down rates. An a lot of world problems would be salved if other people didnt tell other people what to do or judge them, and for those to mind their own business.

  • @jamesbrnhll If this new policy is that important to these students or yourself then why are they at Bradley. What is Bradley.....oh that's right its secular. There are plenty of schools that would love to hear your arguments that are bible based . A very poor way to get your argument validated is by quoting religious doctrine. I'm sure that would hold up in any court setting.

  • Well its a good thing that everyone at Bradley is a Christian right. The bible tells you not to have intercourse before marriage so make sure you push that belief on all students. Especially the Muslim, Buddhist, Hinduism, Atheist and Agnostic community because hey, they're going to hell anyway so forget them right.

  • @stardust6702 The Bible is clear that it is God's desire that no one perish. He made a way to reconciliation for all who would repent and turn to Him through Jesus Christ. Christ (God Himself) said "I am the way the truth and the life no one come to the Father (God) except through Me." You have to decide what is true. Since eternity is forever I would suggest reading the Bible if you have not. I don't believe we are pushing anything we have presented the truth and everyone can decide.

  • If you can't afford the small cost of a condom, you shouldn't be having sex!

  • Students want to be treated like adults, well TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF AND BUY YOUR OWN CONDOMS! Wake up America!

  • @cctc11891 If college sex isn't bad for you, they wouldn't be distributing condoms. but what's wrong with giving away those filtered cigs?

  • @cctc11891 Smoking happens too. Why not distribute filtered cigarettes to all the students so that those who are doing it do it as safely as possible? Make that part of the university fees too.

  • So it's a problem because it sends the messages that sex outside of biblical marriage is ok. I don't see anything bad with that message.

The next problem is apparently that you risk contracting STD's. Witch is funny 'cause condoms _prevent_ the transfer of STD's.

But hey, if higher teen pregnancy is what you want, demonizing condoms is the way to go. But that's probably a bit much correlation for you people to grasp..

  • @bulletbikesyke69 " 'there' people are idiots?" lol

  • Since when did handing out condoms = "go out and screw whatever moves like a whore" These people are idiots!

  • There are approximately 6,000 students at Bradley. If the campus were to buy 100,000 condoms (16 condoms per person), then each student would have to pay 25 cents extra per year.

  • @kamikaaz It is a strange concept that we are OK in our society with paying for one anothers sex life. We are becoming more and more a very dependant or entitlement minded culture. No one should be entitled to someone else paying for them to have sex. If our only goal is for students to have safe sex then they need to get married, it is the only form of safety in regard to sex. Shalom!

  • Marital sex =/= protected from disease

  • @thehalflightmedia

Marriage is not prevention. There's no guarantee your spouse hasn't contracted something in the past. You mean they need to practice abstinence. And while it is fool proof, people aren't obligated to do it. If they want to have sex, then that's their right. Stop trying to impose your religious views on a secular school. Not everyone is a Christian. If you've got some beef with paying for other people to have things, then don't ever pay another fee or tax again in your life.

  • @SeeRadford Marriage between a man and a women is what sex was created for. You are correct if someone goes against that design then one spouse could enter marriage with a STD. What I was referring to is if two people wait until marriage then that is safety. I would say that I am not imposing my ideas to put the views of the Bible here. It is a warning that the Bible and God oppose sin and make a way for a person to become clean. Obviously people want the sin without the consequences. Shalom

  • And now you show the courage to not accept arguement against your beliefs. Good job at being the best you can be.

  • @GrizzlyPanda08 please be respectful if you have a disagreement. you're doing a great job thehalflightmedia

  • @GrizzlyPanda08 This was all i could fit. There is a lot more to be said and if you would like to message me here or set up a meeting to learn more about what you are fighting about then contact me, I live right on campus.

  • my condolences to those watching the common sense, morality, and respectful nature when presenting an argument of BU students dying. doesn't seem that the $31,000 of education did much good.

  • @fongryuu based off of these comments, certainly

  • Jesus was all about free things, he would of supported free condoms along with giving away free booze.

  • @blackscope85 As I recall, he gave away free wine that he made from water. Who wants to party with Jesus?

  • I'm Catholic but I don't give a shit I love sex, who doesn't. Just can't get anyone preggers because I can't pay for abortions though obviously..

  • Can I just ask where this video even came from in the first place?

  • @zsim92

So the student can save a fraction of a cent? Not worth it

  • does anybody else find it hilarious that you can find one of the foamcoming videos in the suggest videos from here.

  • If you search Bradley University Real Life Media Pt 1 on youtube, the second video is Deceiver by Disturbed.

  • Oh and Andy! Dont you walk around campus with your knife in your pocket? Hope its Bradley Police approved.

  • Dammit Im still gonna have to buy condoms. There is no way their gonna give out free magnums. not fair.

  • @jeffyjayfurry I hear they're going to send those too, if need.

  • You guys are right. I dont want my money going to other peoples condoms. I also dont want my tax dollars going to sex education. It is the parents job to educate their children in this topic area. Also, we should take "Under God" out of the pledge of allegiance. Sense we live in a free country, we cant force everyone to follow Christianity. Oh wait.....

  • I think that students shouldn't be forced to pay for something that they don't use. If someone wants condoms, go buy them yourself. It's not like anyone is saving any money.

  • @527hopelessromantic Actually, since the school is buying them in larger amounts, they probably do get a discount from the manufacturer.

  • Why doesn't the Bradley Student Senate use the leftover money to fund a scholarship for a student who perhaps did something that promoted the health of another or his/herself? A scholarship would not offend Bradley students nor alumni and can be aligned to Bradley mission statement. Maybe Bradley can develop a food pantry for surrounding neighbors promoting health and nutrition for those without food. There are several alternatives that would promote health without negating or alienating others.

  • @kryseve09 funding a scholarship? Most of the students already have scholarship. food pantry? you do realize we already do that, and anyways the needy are very well feed down here in Peoria. This bill was debated for so long at Bradley, with huge support from the student body. This bill wasn't a surprise.

  • Comment removed

  • @sierraleon4 spoiled? LOL I wish I was. well, for your information there is like 40 soup kitchens within Peoria the area and I do know some people that were without housing on a personal level, I've ask them several times if they ever need food or housing and that I am willing to help them. Last time I ask it was, "oh I am good, I getting help Salvation Army or at New Hope" as for food they I was told by them that the homeless are feed quite nicely, and the temp housing is not terrible here.

  • @blackscope85 I'm happy to hear that you are aware of those who are doing well. Please don't assume, however, that your work in helping others is done. There are many who cannot support themselves beyond the helped parties you have talked to.

  • @blackscope85 What percentage of students have so much scholarship money that they would reject another? You are rejecting and promoting ideas without actually doing any research which is probably how this decision was made in the first place. Were alumni included in this decision? Were faculty? Were any opposing views presented in the debate of this bill? Was the mission statement even considered? If so, how does it align? Several students and alumni would disagree with this.

  • @kryseve09 97% of Bradley students get financial aid of some form. This issue of free condoms was all over the place, and in our student newspaper The Scout. It was decide with by the Student Senate and what not. If the opposing views wanted to fight they had severally chances they could. The generally support for the bill from current student out weigh the the opposition. I think there was even a poll that was done on it. And why would the Alumni care? are Alumni getting free condoms too?

  • @blackscope85 First, I'd like to know where you got the number 97% since as far as I've seen, it is not listed on Bradley's site. Second, the Scout had one tiny paragraph with one quote from the Student Senate president, poor coverage. Finally, when you consider student resolutions involving tuition money (yes again it is 87$ to be exact, small amout for such a fuss) you involve a large category of people:parents, BofT, Alum, every student, etc.Its simple, just buy your own product

  • @sierraleon4 \ the health fee in the past has been $72, now its a 15 dollar increase, Oh no, everyone lost 15 dollars that's such shame, I guess that 15 dollars less on the booze fund for everyone. and ok you got me its actually 96% h ttp://goo. gl/roxEm, my bad sorry.

there at a bunch of stories relating to condoms on campus on the scouts website you search the word condoms. h ttp://goo. gl/07fWF there I did all the work for you.

  • @blackscope85 have another go at the links

  • @sierraleon4

try delete the spacing in them youtube gets is fussy when comes to links

    but whatevers link 1: h[deletespace]ttp://goo.[deletespace]gl/roxEm

    link 2: h[deletespace]ttp://goo.[deletespace]gl/07fWF

  • @blackscope85 you seem to be fine with blowing $15 so just buy your own condoms. simple.

  • @blackscope85 This is what is just said: "you seem to be fine with blowing $15 so just buy your own condoms. simple." I don't want to PAY for you. Pretty sure that isn't saying anything about religion. Keep with topic.

  • These arguments are completely bogus.. Having access to condoms equals more stds pregnancies and ultimately abortions? Condoms are to help prevent std transmission and pregnancy, and if college kids are going to have sex, why not make it easy for them to make the smart choice to use a condom? It seems to me this is just a religious ploy to try to stop abortion and premarital sex. Looks bad on "non religious" Bradley and our students/peers.

  • Except a speeding car can be an unwelcome or unintended harm to others, where as a sexual act needs the concent of both the man and female, man and man, and female and female.

  • I'm against the flu. I don't believe people should be getting sick outside of marriage. So I don't want my student health fee to go to getting flu shots.

  • To all you who do not fear God now, you should, and eventually you will. Every society that has embraced hedonism has fallen. Doesn't matter if you agree with me or not, it is history and your future. Turn to Christ now before it is too late, the sheep and the goats are being separated. As for a mandatory fee to pay for immorality, how goat like is that.

  • @whitestar316 Don't tell us how to run our lives. This is America, Land of the Free.

  • @whitestar316 Why should I believe that this god thing exists? How do I know it's not just made up by crazy people who think sexy is icky?

  • @whitestar316 True. Even though Bradley University says its not religiously affiliated, it states in its own student handbook that is MUST be respectful of various religions "Bradley University is committed to a policy of non-discrimination and the promotion of equal opportunities for all persons regardless of religion." This mandatory fee which pulled from your health fees (87$ for 7 credits or more) is apart of your overall tuition. Also, Muslims AND Jews agreed against this.

  • Comment removed

  • @joyfull1225 oh really?, Jews and Muslims too, then why in the video is all Christians, with Christians overtones. Also why is that for so long, us, Bradley Students fought for passing this, and there is a huge support for passing it.

  • I find it interesting that people are free to express their thoughts and ideas... unless they are religious ideas, of course. I, oddly enough, have not seen anyone going, "Oh, this resolution is shoving beliefs down the religious people's throats!" Because, that's probably how we feel. There is always more than one outlook on things. I think its odd how we are portrayed as the bad guys here. This is a reaction to something that offends us. And if you want free condoms, good for you. We don't.

  • @hoppizilla This is not to say that I am prohibiting someone from buying their own condoms. Go for gold! I will not agreed with that, and I will tell you why. I just really don't want to pay for them. That's all.

  • @hoppizilla Then don't get them. Fact of the matter is, the money comes from the Heath Fee. Which every student must pay. They can use that money any way they see fit. Would you prefer to bring more children into this world? People are going to have sex anyway. Might as well be safe about it

  • @fluffymaster Right, and as a Catholic, it is actually against my religion to not pay for contraceptives. I agree that people are going to have sex. I just do not want to pay for their condoms. If they want to, they pay for them. I won't agree, but it is not my right to stop them.

  • @hoppizilla I understand where you are coming from and that would be a great argument if we were a religious school, but we are not. You can't get what you want religiously at a non religious school. It is not fair to the people who are nonreligious at a nonreligious school. I, myself, as a Catholic have the same beliefs, but it is not fair for me to make the rest of the school have to follow those beliefs. By restricting our liberal school, it is taking away their rights.

  • @jogabonito510 Apparently people just haven't figured out that all we are saying is our reasons for disliking this is because WE will pay for it. I never said that people couldn't buy their own condoms. I might not agree with that choice, however, they can go and do that if they want. I cannot stop them from doing that. That's not how the world works. But, if there is a way that I won't have to pay for them, that would be awesome

  • @jogabonito510 I am confused. What part of they can do it and I don't want to pay for it don't you understand?

  • 4:36, princess bride anybody?

  • @mexchick90 I saw what you replied too. It is leftover funds that is going to be used towards health. Condoms and sex goes under that category. Seeing from the14 likes and 187 dislikes so far, it seems like the majority of our campus doesn't mind using our money for condoms. And you do realize that the leftover money isn't even that much. It equals out to about 2 dollars per person...if that. So if you really want to argue for your 2 dollars back, go for it.

  • @jogabonito510 As a Catholic, yes, I will argue for those 2 dollars. It is against my doctrine to pay for contraception. That is one of the reasons that we find this a big deal. Obviously, all of the other reasons apply, but that is why this is such a big deal to Catholics

  • Anyone want to help me autotune this video?

  • To Axes...If you're willing for me to really share that information, I'll be glad to give you the biblical references and answers. It's a bit of information, but I'm willing to list ist in parts on here for you...would that be ok?

  • @mlchad1 Sure.

  • To Axis...the God of the Bible is a God of Grace...not a God of slavery. Glad you're thinking about it. I love the Bible and it's Word..it's awesome...BTW...until I started reading the bible, I used to think He was ok with slavery like you did. Again, I'm glad you're asking - thanks.

  • @mlchad1 If he is not a god of slavery than why did he tell the Israelites that it was okay for them to have slaves and that it was okay to beat them? Also, is there ANYWHERE in the bible where god says it's not okay to have slaves?

  • @IamDK1091 Oh yeah...10-pack of clotheshangers at the Dollar Tree is only a $1.03 after tax...that's a savings of $698.97!

  • To derp Thanks for asking. I do understand Bradley isn't founded on Religious prinicples. That's why I ask you to look at their foundation - Mission and Vision and where this decision fits in there. As to your question of another Greater Law maker, who would that be - in truth?

  • @mlchad1 how does giving giving out condoms go against they're Vision and Mission? Its a College. College kids drink and have sex, big deal, no shocker there. The school just wants the sexual activity to have condoms. Its not a trend or anything, its common sense. We don't see protests about the gym from students that don't use it. Does allowing a Greek life go against Bradley's Vision and Mission? To answer your Greater Law maker, I am allowed to have my own beliefs or is that wrong?

  • to axis 462. I'm glad you disagree with a law giver who believes in slavery and beating; I do too. The Law Giver I serve set slaves free, and He, Himself became a slave - actually for me and for you- and died doing so, so we wouldn't have to bear that wrath. He wouldn't want you or me to be a slave to anything. I hope you might recognize He cares about your greater good, and desires to set us all free.

  • @mlchad1 Dude, "the law giver who believes in slavery and beating" is your God. Why don't you read the bible?

  • @mexchik90 Tuition money goes towards hundreds of things, not all of which we like. LNBU costs thousands of dollars each time and I would prefer to not have that and get my money back. You don't heard me complaining and making youtube videos about that, though, do you? If you don't want condom distributions, you should have gone to another school where they have policies against it because of the religion. However, we choose Bradley as a school of no religion, which is open to condoms.

  • @jogabonito510 I was replying to alyssabarnard about the money coming from leftover health service fees, not from our direct tuition. If it is "leftover," it sounds like they didn't know what to do with it, so they decided to use it for condoms. Yea I know people have sex and we can't force them to stop, but why involve the rest of us? They are adults, so if they decide to have sex, then they can pay for their own protection. And I didn't even involve religion.

  • Comment removed

  • @alyssabarnard If it is coming from leftover money, then they should give our money back! NOT use it for something many of us do not want.

  • Part 5 Finally, as one commenting who does believe that the Greatest Law Giver is one higher than Bradley’s Law Givers or ourselves, I hope Bradley and its students will recognize the blessings of these students, families, alumni, community members, who have courageously taken a stand for your greater good. If the question above, was asked of the Greatest Law Giver…as they shared, the answer would be no – because the Greatest Law Giver truly cares about His people and your greater good.

  • @mlchad1 Neither you, nor the Vatican, nor your fictitious sky-fairy get to dictate for Bradly what furthes the universities vision and mission.

Also, it should be noted that "The Greatest Law Giver" at one point thought it was totally cool for you to have slaves and to beat them within an inch of their lives (exodus 21:20, 21) so maybe we shouldn't be looking to him for morality.

  • @mlchad1 derp

Do your know Bradley University is not founded on any religious principles or beliefs whatsoever? and what happens if we believe in a different Greatest Law Giver, who is totally cool with free condoms?

  • @mlchad1 absolutely, well said

  • Part 4 Knowing little of Bradley University or the leadership….but from the responses alone, is it possible that this decision doesn’t meet the vision/mission commitment Bradley has set forth? Hopefully, informed viewers, concerned viewers, and those passionate about the University and students/future students, will look at the premise of this decision relative to the vision and mission, and continue to ask the question, "Does this define Bradley and its Vision/Mission See Part 5

  • Part 3 Help the University recruit, develop, and support faculty who are passionate educators and outstanding scholars whose research and creative contributions benefit society;

    Is it a distinctive feature of Bradley University which confirms the cohesive sense of community that unites faculty, students, staff, and alumni;

Does it promote and facilitate collaboration among all members of the University community?

    See Part 4

  • Part 2: Does this activity/use of money, further the University’s Vision and Mission? Does it ( quoting from Bradley's Webside) Show Bradley University’s Commitment to Excellence; Show the University is committed to nurturing the multifaceted development of students to enable them to become leaders, innovators, and productive members of society; see Part 3

  • Part 1:It appears that all agree that-Condoms will be used for sex; Condoms aren’t perfect; Bradley is responsible for determining how tuition/fees are spent. Therefore, Bradley has determined to use all students’ tuition/fees for distribution of an imperfect tool–condoms-for sex. As Bradley, a non-religious institution, is its’ own “highest law giver/law maker”, in the University’s decision, a question (aside from biblical validity) is to ask is (See Part 2)

  • @alyssabarnard Is the claim that the money comes from the tuition even relevant? They don't go to a Catholic university. The school has no obligation to abide by the ethical code of an Iron Age religious text. Maybe they should switch schools.

  • What's with these people? Why should I care in the slightest bit what the bible says about anything?

  • also you KNOW the guy at 4:03 is whacking it like 8 times a day.

  • worried about pregnancies? just do it in the butt, problem solved.

  • I don't like that tuition money is being used for this purpose. This is a slippery slope. What else is BU willing to fund?????

  • @FarmGirl437 clearly radar detectors, duh.

  • Personally, I'm not a huge fan of this bill, due to my own religious beliefs. I have been brought up Catholic, and I still maintain these religious beliefs. However, it is not my job to tell other people how to live their lives. If they choose to engage in sexual activity outside of marriage that is their own business, and the university is just trying to keep people safe. Whether or not I like it is a different matter, but for a non-religious university, this bill does make some sense.

  • For those watching the video who do not attend or know about Bradley:

I go to Bradley and please know that this group is, as they said themselves, a small group of people and do not accurately represent the majority opinion at Bradley.

I wholeheartedly DISAGREE with this group and know many others who also disagree. Please know we are not all of this opinion.

  • " Because otherwise it would seem that a school with no religious affiliation shouldn't approach safe sex from religious morality."

There you have it. MacheteSquad said it perfectly.

  • They can sell condoms all they want at Bradley. Put them in the vending machines like they do in Missouri public schools. I, however, do not want to pay for students' condoms.

I also have sexually active friends at Bradley. Of course I don't want them to get pregnant or get STDs. Just as I do not raid their rooms and steal their condoms, they don't force me to pay for their condoms.

  • My favorite part of this video is how Christianity is the only religion ever. /sarcasm

  • @HoneyVanity Pretty sure that it was mentioned that it wasn't only Christians. I do know that there was a Jewish woman there

  • First off, not everyone cares about what God thinks, so stop quoting the bible. It's not relevant.

Second, condoms reduce the risk of STIs and unwanted pregnancy, although not 100 percent. That's where Plan B comes in.

Third, it's college. People have sex regardless. Stop pushing your views of it as a "sin" to others. Yeah it can be "bad" but it's the individual's choice. Might as well be protected.

You know what, I can really use an orgy, lets grab a handful of condoms and see what happens.

  • Comparing speeding and sex is comparing apples and oranges.

  • Yes. You have to make getting condoms THAT easy. Condoms are already extremely easy to obtain and still, people don't use them or know how to get them. Making condoms easily accessible from campus is not a bad thing.

  • We should all respect each others opinions. These are students on our campus. You may not agree with them, but stop saying such terrible things about them. On that note, I don't agree with what they're saying. We're all adults and if we want to have sex, we're going to whether they say it's okay or not, and it is better to have protected sex than unprotected which causes more STI's. However, I am curious where Bradley is redirecting the money from for these condoms. Do anyone of you know?

  • @betweenheroes why should any one respect an opinion based of lies an propaganda, that ultimately harms people

  • @betweenheroes the student health fee. Not tuition

  • @betweenheroes Student Health fee, I believe

  • This isn't just a Catholic ordeal; I myself am not Catholic. Nevertheless, this pertains to anyone who actually follows what the Bible teachs, whether you like it or not. Forcing everyone pay for your premarital sexual activity, that's what is biased. And I wonder how many of you who have commented below, actually foot your own tuition bill or who's parents would be okay with paying for you to have sex.

  • @sierraleon4 Allot of parents, wouldn't mind and does it matter? We are adults. hell my grandparents have to pay for people to use condoms. People's sexual activity is their own choice, not yours. Seriously, passing out condoms is not going to make everyone ravenous sex maniacs. Not everyone is Christian and even allot of Christians agree with this program, people can make their own decision. The school just wants everyone to be safe. I guess, forcing people to wear a seat belt is bias too.

  • @sierraleon4, you keep saying that we're forcing people to pay for us to have sex. I'm confused, I was under the impression that this program was to provide free condoms, not hire prostitutes.

  • Whether student money should pay for condoms or not is another thing, however, condoms will by no means increase sexual activity. They will merely increase the availability of safety to those who decide to engage in sex.

  • Yep, giving out free condoms will increase the rate of STIs and unwanted pregnancies. LOGIC!

  • I am going to try this again, and please, realize that there are worse comments than mine.

This video is horridly biased. Almost all of the facts that are presented in it are false. Condoms do not increase pregnancy and STDs, because thats what they are meant to freaking be used to prevent. Shoving the Bible down my throat makes me want to disagree with you more.

  • @fluffymaster I agree, this video is quite biased. But, where does this video say it was meant to be fair-sided? I'm a little surprised and amused that they are whipping out the Bible on this one. I think their premise is a little flawed: Do they think their audience cares for the Bible, religion, or even follow THEIR religion? Haha news flash: Bradley is not a religious school, like Valpo. Oh, and I never asked your parents stupid girl. She talks funny, and sandra bullock is hot. that is all

  • @thehalflightmedia "since the bible is true". Exactly when was this confirmed? Last I recalled there are numerous inconsitencies within the bible.

  • @thehalflightmedia I was born a Catholic & was confirmed. I still identify with the Catholic Church. The Bible was made by man. The Gospels were written a couple hundred years after the death of Jesus Christ. I think it is safe to say that it is not exactly accurate. Don't use it if you aren't going to have sex. You can still be on your religious high-horse & know that you are going to heaven for not sinning. It is not your job to judge others & prevent "eternal damnation."

  • @thehalflightmedia You state the Bible as explicitly true, yet I would think only the religious could claim that. Is Bradley a religious university? Because otherwise it would seem that a school with no religious affiliation shouldn't approach safe sex from religious morality. If these religious protesters want a valid part in the discussion they should approach it on terms that don't enforce their views upon others.

  • @thehalflightmedia Wait...what evidence do you have which demonstrates that any of the supernatural stuff in the bible is true?

  • @thehalflightmedia

    False, the bible is false.

  • people like this are the reason i no longer like to associate myself with the catholic church, despite being raised catholic and confirmed catholic, and frankly they are the reason i no longer believe in the "god" they teach because if he truly loves all people why do they preach that people are going to hell if they dont listen to them. i'm not saying i dont have a god but it is certainly not the same as theirs. and i bet they also detest gays but i wont go there

  • So what these people are saying is that because I don't work out, I shouldn't have to pay for Markin in my tuition. Sounds legit.

  • Comment removed

  • If only there was some kind of democratic way you guys could go about changing things. Like if there was some kind of student organization where people could stand up and make changes to their University. I'm sure we couldn't get everyone to attend, but we could elect representatives once a year or something. It would almost be like the Senate of ancient Rome, but for students.

  • do we suddenly live in the dark ages?

  • if they get rid of condoms, guys, only agree to do anal and condoms will be welcomed back soon enough

  • those free condoms make dope water balloons. don't take them away.

  • To the man of this video, I see what your trying to do, I respect that, but trying to force the Gospel on those who are not willing to listen especially in this manner is no good. Don't cast your pearls among swine, you should know better. Goodluck and God bless.

  • Jesus said "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" -Luke 10:27. How is this protest fulfilling that commandment? Are you actively sharing your faith first and letting your life be the the living testimony to these truths? If not, understand that unbelievers hate Christ and will only hate him more if your condemn and not love them first. Love opens doors to change, this doesn't.

  • @paint14872 Well said.

  • I share the belief that sex is a gift from God meant to be shared man and wife. however, this is NOT the way to go about sharing your faith and I'm offended. Without saying the exact words, you called those who disagree with you stupid sluts. You act as though all unbelievers don't respect sex and do it non-stop with any and everyone. My experience says that's untrue. The best way to get the msg across is by actually having conversations with people, not controlling their environment.

  • Abstaining didn't work for the Virgin Mary......

  • @egge5027 she's not a virgin if you know what i mean. whores were stoned to death in those times. Get my drift. Little white lie never hurt no one

  • this video is garbage. Its Newman center trying to push their ideas on Bradley, just like they forced the school to change Gay Straight Alliance's name to Common Ground. Now last time I check Bradley isn't a religious school and most of the student want to keep it that way. So stop pushing your bs religion garbage on the rest of "us" students, cause we could care less about your zero fun beliefs but we do want our condoms. if you don't like it, transfer out.

  • I hope these people are comedians.

  • To say this promotes STI's and pregnancy is ignorant. This movement promotes the safe way to do something that most students do anyway. To argue this in "gods" name is ridiculous and does more harm than good. Not everyone believes in god. I am one of them. To try and prevent the promotion of a proven method of safe sex, because you don't think people shouldn't have sex before marriage is ridiculous. What would you do if they used that money for bibles and atheists protested? Be angry no doubt.

  • Everyone has their right to opinion, but the University is a private one, and therefore has the right to make such decisions as the distribution of condoms for health related issues. Bradley has been kind enough to support the Newman Center and many other cultural foundations despite the fact that Bradley University has no religious affiliation, and I'm sure if the books were opened the money spent on condoms has to be negligible compared to that spent on supporting religious groups.

  • The Newman guy is not a virgin by choice.

  • @EnricoFantini Actually, I can assure you it is his choice. Where do you get off throwing insults around at people you do not even know? Please come back when you have a reasonable argument to make.

  • @lovingrunning91 What more reasonable argument do you want? If people want to have sex, they can pay for their own condoms. That's all. We just thought it would be nice to explain why.

  • @EnricoFantini Actually, I am... lol

  • Wow, those women were ugly! No wonder they are upset that no one is fucking them!

  • @xMOUN7AINx Pretty sure they aren't ugly...

  • @fleurdecookies youre parents should have used a condom. Why would Bradley ever say that the condoms they are handing out will be 100% protective against pregnancy or STD's? That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. And you people are bitching abt the couple of dollars put forth to help STOP pregnancy? Ridiculous.

  • I would like to point out, I AM a religious person. I AM a bradley student and am over the age of 18. I AM a virgin actually but I think this video is absolutely ridiculous. I fully agree that free condoms for students is a good idea. It isn't promoting sex because...earth to those sheltered....PEOPLE ARE GOING TO HAVE SEX ANYWAYS. And yes, This does take A FEW dollars out of my pocket, but also prevents a student from bringing an innocent child into a world that they cannot provide for.

  • damn, all i need is condoms?? wtf seriously!? i keep trying to get laid and you guys are telling me all i had to do was get condoms this whole time? fuck. i've been trying to find girls to have sex with, now that i know i'm doing it wrong, all i gotta do is flash some condoms around and girls will have sex with me. thanks!

  • Sexuality is healthy. There are ways to prevent STD's and Pregnancy. Birth Control, Abstinance, AAAAAANNNNNDDDD Condoms. Pick one, or two of these, be safe and use your head. Use common sense - not ancient rules written by bronze age sheep herders in the desert.

  • Do Christians/Catholic people even know that there a lot of people who do not believe in god? Quoting the bible is like reading a fairy tale, it is all just babble and if they don't like it then go to a religious school, not a public school!!!

  • What a smart move on the school's part to provide protection to students (provide, not "force" upon, as it was stated in the video). If a student winds up in a sexual situation and hasn't previously purchased contraception, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll just forego intercourse. "Pulling out" is far more likely to cause pregnancy and STDs. Likely, there is tuition money going toward programs not every student uses or agrees with; why is this one being singled out?

  • Bradley also has a policy that it will not be held responsible for the quality or effectiveness of condoms it provides. Thoughts??
