I remember watching this with my brother at the time, and wondering how far the waterskier got up on the beach, approaching the picnickers. With no VCRs then, or any way to record TV broadcasts, you could only see something like this infrequently.

The 1950's bottle had a girl in a bathing suite to the left of the 7up logo . They took the girl off the bottle in 1960. i just found a 1950's bottle and looked it up.

This is from around 1963; in the late '50s, they were using mascot "Fresh-Up Freddie" and the slogan, "Nothing Does It Like 7-Up!".
