You guys, she can't sell cover songs. She doesn't own the rights to the music. It can't be done without the owner of the copyrights of the songs being compensated. She can only sell content that SHE owns, so that's why she's making this EP. I'm looking forward to it!

It IS possible to get permission. Covers are done, and sold, all the time. Of course, it would be next to impossible, given all the hoops that have to be jumped through.  BUT. It is possible. Can't is one thing, impractical is another.

I realize there are complications that come along with that, and permissions might be hard to get, where applicable, but I really love your take on all of the covers you've done, and it would be great to not have to steal it from youtube for my mp3 player (what? me? steal? never!). I don't think it would be advisable at this point for her to sell copyrighted material, she would get fined and probably sued, I don't know if there would be a way she could sell her album, then as a free gift send a few of her covers, but if you dont want to feel guilty for having it on ur ipod, then just let some of your friends listen to her and try to convince them to buy her cd too, free adertisement will still bring in money, and it costs you nothing, hope that help :)

Well whats the difference between playing one of her vids over and over or, putting the music on ur ipod? She puts that out to show her flexibility and talent and for her fans enjoyment, but in order for her to et the rights to a song, it would cost a substantial chunk of change, and the amount of albums for her to break even would be pointless, I;m just saying, there is no reason to feel bad, you are doing your part, keep it up
