I live near Swindon and this does not change my mind about it. Never will. Swindon was voted one of the ugliest places in the UK and it's not just the architecture and everything about it, it's the people as well. They are rude, disgusting, selfish, mindless twats. You don't see them caring for an injured person on the street, they spit on the ground, refusing to give money to charity. Horrible town with horrible people. I would move far far away from this satanic place.

I'm originally from London, but I grew up in Swindon (the very western edge), and this year - the year I leave home for university - has been the first year in which I've realised that this place...isn't all that bad.
I've hated it for so long, but hearing all these constant tales of self-deprecation spread to neighbouring counties (namely Gloucestershire), I've been keen to defend it.
Swindon is run-down and has some shocking buildings, but I think it has a lot to offer and great prospects.
i kinda have to agree with both of you there, however it is the minority rather than the majority that have to spoil everything with mindless vandalism and graffitti etc

I must say Swindon seems to have cleaned up a lot since heavy industry closed down and it is easy to get to other parts of thwe country from with Marlborough just down the road for shopping and a pleasant day.

(I am a Swindonian)Swindon is OK, but has been spoilt by the many money grabbing people in power (ie local council) over the years, who have always gone for the quick buck over longterm good of the town.
Believe it or not Swindon used to have many beautiful buildings and good amenities, that it could have made better use of instead of demolishing. :-(

Lived in Swindon for 20 years,a place I grew to Love, put me back on my feet after moving there for work. I now live in Italy totally different of course but believe me Swindon is a great place and I treasure many fond memories of the place. A great video well done thanks

No offence on your work- very well photographed...and there are still some very beautiful spots.
Everyone should do the walk from Lawn Woods all the way thru to Coate Water via polo ground etc, pretty amazing for a town centre parkland! ;-)

Various areas it looks like Coate Water, Town Gardens, Lawns areas - places such as that. A very nice video, Enya / Clannad music I think.
