@bradmacaboy If you are planting right away, you don't have to let them dry out- that's just so they can hold up tp storage. I've seen beans fall to the ground and new plats came up.
I have started summer squash from seeds for the first time... they are currently in peat pots on my sunny dining room table. As I live up north, I don't imagine they will be ready to plant for another month. Any ideas on maintaining healthy plants indoors until planting time?
@crystalbindi I'd just say 1. Don't let them dry out 2. Fertilize only after they have at least 2 sets of leaves and 3. Begin to 'harden off' by placing them outdoors for increasing lengths of time, starting about 3 weeks before panting time. Good luck!
Hi, thanks for the comment. I grow many different kinds of vegetables. There is a good book called Good Bugs Bad Bugs that may help you- great pictures and very informative.

nice looking squash you have grown, is this your specialty in gardening? I grow squash from seed but usually have trouble with vine crops and bugs..
