Vietnam should buy modern swedish multiroleplane, (super JAS), that way they does not provoce China the same way that i would be to buy amerikan planes. Also swedish modern precision artillery, (archer), precision Bonus ammunition with mortars could came handy. Plus Arthur artillery hunting radar. To the navy the stelth corvet of Visby class and modern submarins with extremt quitet stearling engin.

Vietnam military compare to other modern contries are very far behind, and plus a lot of the vietnamese miltary hardware is very outdated ( i am viet btw), i don't get why would they use the ak in the asian rifle meet, cus the ak is very unaccurate

If Vietnam pushes China too far, China will conquer Vietnam, they could lose 300 million men and still have 100 million more soldiers to attack you with. You cannot possibly hope to defeat China, not ever. US weapons have proven themselves against Soviet weapons and our weapons systems are already more than 20 years old. Eventually there will be upgrades and new weapons as the catches up we will greatly advance.

Vietnam will never upgrade to US weapons systems, the communists are too connected to the hip to Russians and their weapons systems. China approximates US weapons systems but US is still better and will be for the foreseable future. Vietnam will have to face China alone, US nor Rusians will take on China for Vietnam's sake.
