  • What is wrong with the yellow lab? But the chicks are so cute espicially when they realize that momma is way over there. ;p

  • @sillychicken1314 The yellow lab, Dixie is doing much better now.. She has arthritis but we have found a good treatment to reduce the inflamation and it makes her much more comfortable.

  • hey i was wondering the whats the perfect argument to my parents to get barred rock chickens :)

  • i have 3, 5 day old barred rocks......love em

  • hello .....i just got some cornish chicks good for eating..... any advice on how to raise?

  • @vruble500 Hi There! We raised some Cornish Rocks once. Just keep fresh water available and food and they will thrive.

  • @vruble500 Actually, cornish grow so fast you should regulate their feed. Feed them during the day but take the food away at night. They should be ready for butchering by about 8 weeks. I would do a few searches on more info becuase cornish meat birds require different care than regular birds

  • @vruble500 why would you raise something from a babby it will get attached to you and love you and all it gets is its head cut off and plucked stuffed and roasted

  • @outdoorsyGUY122 becuz you have to kill cornish hens becuz they gain so much weight there legs will brake and there made for meat not pets.

  • well, im new to the whole "chicken buiness", but ive been around chicken most my life,(my granparents, i spend alot of time down on there farm) anyways, i built me a nice little coop, little, my grandpa said about 12 is about all u could fit in there, well today they brought me 4 barredrocks and a rooster, they'r actually nice chicken compared to other ive been around...im hoping to get more money and raise chicks this summer.these chickens are about 8-10 months old,so i have alot of eggs comin

  • Sweet hen with her chicks.

  • These dogs don't mess around with the chicks because they recognize that the owner 'values' the chickens. Our Rottie decided to pin one of ours down and pull out some feathers! The chicken survived, but she was a bit 'drafty' for the winter months until her feathers grew back. It was a great 'teaching moment' for myself and the dog. I looked a her with her mouthful of feathers and she knew right away she was in trouble! Now she knows better and is will protective of them when they are outside.

  • Those are Rat Terriers

  • My grey hen is called SISSY :)

She had 4 babies this year :)

  • Your dogs must be very well trained, it did'nt do anything do the chicks!

  • I have Barred Rocks as well. 5 hens and a rooster. They havn't started laying eggs yet, but they are molting right now, so it shouldn't be to much longer. I have been told that barred rocks won't hatch chicks. Did yours brood the chicks? I hope mine will... Always fun to watch the chickens...

  • @nasanction no they will there very broody, hope you have fun hatchin!

  • @nasanction The Barred Rock did 'set' on these eggs. She just came out from under the feed shed with all the babies on this morning I took the video. We had many chickens at the time so we didn't even know she was under there.

  • awwwww how awesome, Pretty Hen . Congrats for her and you

  • My dogs know better than to mess with the chicks plus the Mama hen will attack them if they get too close.

  • Great video! Why don't the dogs bother the baby chicks?

  • mine lay but want sit on them. only at night the sit on them do u think they'll live. how do u get it to lay on them?

  • She looks just like my BR Eva!

  • She is beautiful and so ar her baby chicks. Now I want my Cher or Mabeline to have babies! (both BProcks).
