Not true.. thats just what Americans think because they seem to love watching a snake kil a mouse which has no means of escape.

Here in Australia its actually illegal to feed live, we have to pre-kill or thaw frozen ones, and it works just fine...

Apart from being just cruel (and lazy on the owners part) a cornered rodent can cause alot of damage to a snake.

I didnt say all, I was merely stating what I have seen, and now you know different about snakes only eating live prey.. its a load of rubbish. And I dont doubt your ability to take care of rats.. ive had them as pets too, quite interesting creatures, theyre almost like miniature dogs.

they cant have live prey, the mouse or rat can still be alive inside of them and it will eat its way out, and its not fair for the mouse or the snake.
