I love guys like Sheamus (though he was pushed too hard too soon), McIntyre, Morrison, DiBiase Jr, etc. What I dislike are guys with NO talent, new or old, who get sold like they're the best thing to ever happen to wrestling (yes, I'm looking at John Cena.) I would love to see some of these guys get HALF the push he does. Sadly, it won't happen cause he's the new Hulk Hogan.

@Paxobo Good luck. the way the greats became great was because people identified with them and kind of grew up with them on their path to the top. Triple H, Austin, Rock, Edge, Jericho, none of those guys are overnight one hit wonders. They worked their way up from the bottom of the barrel to the main event of Wrestlemania. People can identify with something like that; not clowns like Del Rio, Lesnar, Sheamus etc who haven't been around a year and get handed a belt because they need a fresh face

PG is a TV rating for progamming or any media outlet. PG means family and kid friendly. In that there can be no blood or no excessive violence. In the case of RAW because they are on at 9pm, they are limited in what they can do creatively.

I really think you've got your nostalgia goggles on for that one. True, it had its good moments like Shane McMahon taking bumps like a madman, but it also had really terrible segments like Kane electrocuting Shane McMahon's testicles. Actually, everything except the matches was absolutely dreadful, and that feud along with the Katie Vick feud essentially ruined Kane's monster role by making him look like an necrophiliac idiot who can be beaten by a non-wrestler.

not really. 2009 will NEVER be the good ol' days. 1998 was the peak of wrestling and it stayed pretty high until about 2001 to 2003 when it started to fall. Before 1998, the storylines were alright and the wrestling was pretty good, but 1998-2001 will always be the peak.
