Mario Kart Wii guide: tips (part 1)

hey man, I apreciate this video, but how do I do tricks? I know the instruction booklet says to shake the wheel, but I get no response, is there like a specific way to shake it or something?

You dont fully dodge the pow jus t to let people know as seen in the video, u still lose the item, and u get slowed down but u get out of it quicker.

nice video most of those I already knew I just didn't know about the tailgating trick or the yellow sparks drifting. btw do you have to just hold the drift for awhile after blue sparks or is there a trick to it?

umm may i ask how to to jump trick?

@AbyssSonic if you are talking about performing aerial tricks then whenever a jump sends you flying right as you take off from the ground hit one of the arrows on your classic/GC controller or if you are using wiimote/wavebird just shake the wiimote/wavebird up and down(pretend you are trying to lift your kart up at the jump by pulling the wheel up.)

@mariosunshinefaan what you do is when the pow block appears, you shake the wii remote. Keep shaking the wii remote until the pow block disappears.

yeah i do thanks XD i got all of tem, but still havent unlocked Mii outfit B, do you know why, do I have to like, use the same character for each time trial to unlock it?

no i just unlocked it.u must not have all the experts.there were a lot that i thot i had,but didnt.like peach gardens or that pace w/ all the boo's.

no, but every single ones got my name on it and the character I played with and my time, maybe its because I played with a Mii? or doesnt it make a difference. Im gonna go through them anyway just to make sure :P

Well, after you beat a reg. staff ghost, you shound see "a fast staff ghost has appeared!" or something like that.

Actually, its better to have a light-weight vehicle, but have it as close to the meduim stat as you can, that way, you get the right ammount of balance, enough to bash someone out of your way, but just enough so that you still have an advatage of light-weightness, therefore keeping your Kart or Bike speed constant (in other words, th weight wont keep you down)

Wii Wheel jump is B, gamecube controller is R, and I think the nunchuck was B as well

To jump, you just shake the wii wheel. When you land, you will get a speed up.

you also shake the controller when using the wiimote/nunchuck, to trick when using a cube/classic (I could be wrong on classic) you push up on the control pad
