Is it correct that the ONLY IRREGULAR FORMS (That cannot be taken from conjugating the indicative yo form) in the subjunctive are dar, ser, ir, estar and saber?

Ok so I fully understood your lesson. Which makes it clear that I am capable of learning spanish, my problem is my teacher does not explain very well.
@geezwhycantifindanam only is for some odd reason, the sentence were arranged with that clause at the beginning, or is a partial command form (independent clause implied): Que vengan más tarde. (Quiero que vengan más tarde). Good question.
You're lessons really are SO useful, its amazing how something that first appears to be so confusing can actually be so simple when taught by such a brilliant teacher.
Good lesson. To conqueror those crazy Spanish verbs I invented a board game called: Verb It. There's a video explaining the game here on Youtube and it's online at: verbitgame. There are also online verb quizzes. Saludos Carolina F.
You honestly help me understand this so much more than when my Spanish IV honors teacher explained it. You are saving me on my exam tomorrow over this material.
okay, but then why is it still "opposite" for an ir verb? I'm not trying to be difficult, but when I hear "opposite" I can really only think of two options instead of three...
Te felicito "languagenow". Ha de ser muy difícil enseñar el subjuntivo a los anglohablantes. De sólo pensar en ello, me abrumo... Al principio, pensaba que tu explicación era muy esquemática y gramatical, pero ahora me doy cuenta que es necesaria porque permite la reflexión gramatical para que el estudiante comprenda la lógica detrás de todo este modo verbal. ¡Y eso que sólo estás explicando el presente del subjuntivo!
i swear, i didnt even UNDERSTAND THAT AT ALL! i might just be dumb at it! lol.. i can learn by myself but unable to learn while watching him do it and go on about it and his formula!
As much information as I have found on subjunctive, the way you explain how to conjugate these blew everything else out of the water, amazing professor.
Porque en todos los países, excepto en España, la segunda persona del plural es ustedes, y sus conjugaciones coinciden con la de la tercera persona del plural (ellos/as)
porque el español ha cambiado mucho, sufrió cambios(en españa) pero las personas que llegarona américa no hicieron esos cambios en la estructura del idioma por eso en américa existen diferencias formas fonéticas y estructurales
I was just wondering, what is the tense in which either 'ra' or 'se' is added to the end of a root verb? I seem to recall a tense that I learned last year in which this was done, but I don't remember what it was called or what its translation would be. And if you haven't posted a video on this tense yet (I haven't finished watching all of your videos yet, and I probably should before asking this but whatever n_n ) then could you please post one whenever you get the chance?
I am not sure about "ra", but "se" attached to the end of an infinitive implies that the verb is reflexive. This is not a tense; rather, it means that the subject is performing the action on it self. For example: bañarse (to take a bath) is the infinitive form of a reflexive verb.
To say "He bathes himself": (El) se baña.
To say "I bathe myself": (Yo) me baña.
I hope this helps. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
But to properly use this mode I think you should go through "Present Subjunctive" and understand how it works, then, It will be a piece of cake! Well...that's what I think.
el subjuntivo y el montón de formas verbales que pueden darse enrreda a cualquiera, mucho mas a los angloparlantes que tienen una lengua tan simple, y tan pocas formas verbales.
jajaja me gustaría ver cómo pronunciarían el pretérito pluscuamperfecto,en modo subjuntivo del verbo haber, demasiado... jajajaja
basborro, you may have seen some of my Brazilian Portuguese classes... I have only uploaded a few... I need to upload more, huh? HOWEVER, everything I say in this video is ALSO true of portugues: Subj = first person - o + opposite vowel endings
No, of course you don't need to... :) _I_ need to fight laziness and learn from what's available on the internet about the Portuguese grammar... instead of just longing to sit back and be given everything on a silver plate in a YT video. :)
But it's hard not to be a dreamer watching a lesson like that :)
Yes, I've seen all your BP vids :) And thank you very much for the remark about the subjunctive in BP!

How come you never put the you plural endings of verbs?
Ais and Eis for the subjunctive no?
Is it because you studied South American Spanish? as I understand it's only Spain that uses You Plural?

Hi Jason,
I was just wondering, what is the tense in which either 'ra' or 'se' is added to the end of a root verb?

I think you are asking for
1 "Imperfect Subjuctive"
which in a frase would be:
-Yo quise que ella hablara.
or
-Yo quise que ella hablase.
But to properly use this mode I think you should go through "Present Subjunctive" and understand how it works, then, It will be a piece of cake! Well...that's what I think.
Hope this help. ; )
