  • nice montage

  • joe schmidt of the detroit lions , yes! 01:29

  • It case you didn't know there is talk of a college football game being played at Wrigley Field.

It would feature Northwestern vs. Illinois sometime in 2010 or 2011.

  • I don't think the Bears could have continue to play at Wrigley Field no matter

how many people it could have held.

Because of the Cubs the Bears couldn't have played a home game or preseason game until at least October.

  • The Bears had to move from Wrigley because of the NFL-AFL merger. One of the conditions for the merger was that all stadiums had to have a capacity for at least 50,000 fans.

  • Artie Donovan wore #70. His last year with the Colts was 1961.

  • Seeing the old bleachers (minus the rooftops) and the WGN tower brings back wonderful memories of Wrigley Field.

  • 1:29 Joe Schmidt #56 Detroit Lions, with #71 Alex Karras and I believe #88 Ron Kramer in the background. Great stuff!

  • If Wrigley Field had twice as many seats, the Bears might still be playing their home games there.

Imagine standing on rooftop bulildings across from Wrigley and watching the Bears today. That would be quite a sight!

  • Maybe someday they'll have a game there like the Blackhawks did. It would generate incredible excitement.

  • There's probably more history in Wrigley than there was in old comiskey and Chicago Stadium.

That will be the coldest day when they demolish Wrigley....

    GO CUBS

    GO BEARS

    GO RED WINGS!

  • "demolish Wrigley"? don't ever say that again. I'm from Maryland, but we get WGN. I'm an Orioles fan but I watched Harry Caray for years.

  • ART FUCKING DONAVAN!!

  • What number? I wondered if he was in these.

  • Well done - hang on to these. Your dad did a good job.

  • Probably will hold on to them for nostalgic reasons.

  • Super cool are you going to sell them?

  • this is great more more more please were you at these games?

  • No. My father took these. Eventually I hope to have the 8mm material professionally digitized. I need to cull through several old reels of film stock.
