it's not necessarily bad for the psp itself but it is for the data. if you accidentally bump the cord, it comes undone, or something disrupts the process when a file is being modified it will corrupt the file (most of the time) and you will either have glitches on that file or you will just not be able to load it. (some glitches don't matter, others make random holes in the floor on freelance games... not fun)

@saranajup These programs are "NOW OLD" AND THE LINKS HAVE CHANGED " there are newer apps around . check around YOUTUBE or PSPHACKS or DCEMU for more recent hacks , this one is by now outdated . good luck. ps. it is very possible to return it to its original condition.

Before getting a new charger you will need to determine if it is the charger not working or if it is the battery. take out the battery and leave it out, now plug in the charger/wallpack , now turn on the psp , the psp should start - if so the battery could be suspect

Yeah,thats right -however, there have been issues with different battery types. This was done over Ten months ago with a genuine PSP-110 (3.6v 1800mAh) Phat battery

My psp was purchaced back in the days of ver 2.60.

There are now heaps of pandora to normal battery converters about.

TIP: Google, TEAM C+D , this is where you get the 2 bits of software, they say to use a spare battery.

My video'ed process proves otherwise.

You don't mention that first, when you turned your battery into pandora, you had to have converted the ms too. So with the memory stick, you converted the battery into pandora. Then you need to have that memory stick to convert the pandora back to normal.

2 bits of software are put in the mem stick. when executed in a homebrew psp it forces to battery into service mode via options are seleceted.

giving you a pandora battery.

The pandora battery with the mem stick can then be placed into a bricked or a psp to be downgraded. booting from the mem stick it removes and replaces the firmware with a small ver of 1.50, upgrade this to a full version afterwards.

The video is about converting the battery back for normal use, using the same process

i would imagine that since the conversions of the 2 different batteries into pandora's batteries are done by different methods, you would likely need different software on the memory stick to change it back

i went through hell downgrading. ive downgraded 5 psp's so far and one was a slim. actually the slim went easier than any other.  i formatted my stick and lost my backup eeprom (for turning the battery back normal)for my battery but there are a couple of programs out there that will generate a random eeprom number so that your batter wont be stuck in service mode.
