i think it depends where you live...u know, like everything else...it's all relative. i live in the suburbs of New Jersey and there isn't much discrimination in my high school. i've known people who came out as gay and mostly everyone was accepting. and people who aren't usually keep their opinions to themselves or don't insult him/her directly.
