I used the ATG 7502 tape from The Tape Depot. I also looked on ebay under ATG 50 and found some starter kits and tape refills. Width of tape depends on what you are using it for. I make cards and paper crafts and the thinner width is perfect.
Just received my tape gun from tape depot not even 5 minutes ago. I opened the box, went to you video. Loaded the gun in 2 minutes and I'm in business. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
To keep the tape in place, I use an empty roll on top of my refill. Mine kept popping off and that was the easiest way to get it to stay in place. I was really to pitch mine until I saw your video and then realized I could use the empty.
I just got my atg-50 today, and it came with a flyer referencing this video. Thanks so much for sharing! I followed along with your video and had no problems at all getting it loaded correctly the first time.
Oh thank you sooooooooooooooooo much. I was pulling my hair out. The directions that came with the gun weren't very clear. Thank you, thank you.......
I wish I had come across your video before I wasted a role of tape. I have the Scotch ATG 752 dispenser which operates exactly the same way. Your video will definitely go into FAVORITES for future reference!!!
oh my gosh! You are a lifesaver! I have this same gun and it has been a headache since day 1 trying to get the thing loaded. I probly like many others was not pushing it down all the way so that it would keep turning without having the trigger pulled! Thank you so much! I'm going to go fix it right now!
I was about to pitch mine also!! Come to find out, I DID hear it click into place, but for some reason?? was still not pushed down far enough ....tape was not rolling up correctly (too loose!!) Thanks!! for the video ...you saved an ATG50 gun from the trash can..hahahaha...
I feel the same as bcc93 above who said she was about to throw out her gun until she found this video..THANK YOU * THANK YOU for excellent demo. I just need to know now how to take off or remove the USED tape when you run out of tape...Does it just LIFT off?? the take up spool...hope to hear back..or better yet..another video :) Cya....
Removing the used liner from the take-up spool is easy...just pull it off and throw it into the trash. Sometimes I have to remove it in sections...but since it isn't sticky anymore, it isn't a problem:)
THANKS!! I think I'm getting use to my gun as far as applying the glue, etc...Will probably have to rewatch the video when it comes to refilling it!! :) but it's a GREAT, very helpful video!!!
I don't know how I found you but I'm so glad I did! I just purchsed this particular dispenser from Tape Depot. A starter kit with 6 rolls of 1/4 36 yard tape for just $38 bucks! And the refills are only $22 for 12 rolls. I'm so excited to get mine! I am hoping this is going to be the most economical adhesive I use . Thanks for the post!
This is a great product and I had trouble, too, loading it properly. Thanks for the visual. By the way, Tape Depot's Customer Service is the absolute best - I can't say enough. I will always buy from them and direct others to them as well.
What size tape do you buy for your ATG-50 gun?? Want to buy refills.
