A similar modded E92 vs a stock LS3 will lose lol And the C7's are comming soon. Expect 450hp/440torque similar to the C6.R's engine. BMW won't ever be able to keep up with Corvette unless it is the race car version M3 GT.

The LS3 (L92) derived heads flow almost as well as the C6 ZO6 heads. LS3s with a cam and exhaust have run 10s and make over 450 rwhp. Check out some of the 10 second cam only LS3 videos. I can't wait for the C7 with the 5.5 liter V8. I'm hoping for a 11 second 120 mph base C7. That would be another killer at 50K.

I watched a C5 Z06 pull on a E92 M3 a few days ago. It wasn't a shock to me though. The guy in the M3 was lucky he didn't stumble across a C6 Z06.
