hardly, im so sick of the same old windows mobile os with a few visual aids added on. it's extremely UN-user friendly, and very slow. the phone is cool it self, but the G1 blows it away. price, performance, capability, ect. G1 wins.

well i guess it just depends what kind of user you are. I played with the G1 but honostly didnt like it at all. It just didnt seem like it had enough features. The TouchPro is actually pretty fast (as long as you arent using the AT&T rom, it's still fast with it but AT&T roms have always just slowed devices down).

Well if your already an expert with windows mobile user friendly is no issue, as far as other people, the homescreen is very user friendly now lol.

the G1 would be my next option for a phone if all else fails for my touch diamond, but i don't see that coming for me because not 1 issue occured for my touch diamond. yeah it may freeze and other shits every now and then but thats WM. its common. the fanboys take that as a "weapon" to aim at HTC for saying that their phones are laggy and etc. but there are a million laggy discoveries from a iphone and it call happen when you use it as a phone. freezes when calling, drops calls everytime...

Does anyone know if we are going to be able to download free ringtones. For example on the blackberry you can download them on the browser or have them sent. But they blocked that on the sidekick. This is the only thing holding me back from pre-ordering. Plus the touch seems laggy in the browser. Plus is it really touch or do you have to add pressure like the voyager touch screen?

you can download music on your computer and sync it to the G1. and then you can use any song from your music library as a ringtone. but idk of any "free ringtones". atleats not yet.

Since I have both Iphone and the Diamond, I can say that the Iphone is way ahead of the Diamond in user-interface. There are bugs in both systems. But the Diamond irritates the most (I hate it).

I have my eyes set on the G1. I really hope it will be as good as the Iphone, or even better.

I haven't had any problems with it either. Besides, if you actually DO have any lag or problems, flash a good custom rom and most, if not all of your problems will be solved.

Anyway, the iPhone isn't bad; it's actually decent, it's just that it's hyped to the heavens and Apple's fanboys think that it is better than everything else. They also think that everything with a touchscreen and/or a nice interface is an iPhone clone.

Looks like crap IMO. I have high hopes for Android but tbh T-Mobile sucks. They won't have 3g in my area for god knows how long. We just got AT&T 3g and Sprint 3g goes active here in December. It's not like we are a small city. One of the most historic and tourist attractive in the country. I'm going with Sprint and the Touch Diamond. Sorry T-Mobile. Your customer service was good but your actual phone service sucked.
