We had such a good team back then. Eranio, Baiano, Igor, Wanchopey etc. Fantastic. With a bit more consistency, we could have qualified for europe. I miss this team. On our day we could take apart anyone. I recall we beat Arsenal 3-0 in November after they were unbeaten from the start of the season, hit the bar/post about six times here, hit the bar/post around 7 times against Bolton (4-0) and had many other crazy results including 0-4 and 0-5 home defeats. Mental.

@Johnoppo losing McClaren was the start of the rot. We were never the same when he left as Jim Smiths assistant.

@vntr2006 Totally agree. McClaren's departure signalled the end of this era then Carsley to Blackburn was the nail in the coffin.
vntr, if you have any other old footage i.e. 1980's please put them on youtube. It would be so appreciated pal.
