I just downloaded tribes and I tried getting into "the community" server but it says im banned. I have never played on that server before :-( do I have to do something special?
It's ridiculous how there are kids these days going around talking about how MW2 is a "hardcore" FPS.
They don't know shit. It's really too bad a game like Tribes never got that popular. But then again, popularity could have ruined it by casualizing it.

i was on team [FLG] and {420} the first year ogl started keeping track of shit, when CLQ was popular. infact team {420} took the #1 Tribes1 UR3 Ladder1 slot from =MLK= and then lost it a week later to *HFE* in 1997. gah those were the good ol days. b4 hackers ran every game on the net.
md... and most these vids on here were before beacon stopping became known.. and beacon launching (beacon stopping on a downward slope to get air allowing sculpting of new ski routes)
Gah, freaking awesome vid! Is that all on base? I've seen people pull crap like that pretty consistently on annihilation base (1.3x), but that's with boosters and junk. Guessing base cuz of the grenade launchers. At any rate, incredible playing, and excellent movie making!
