I hate to break it to you guys, but the reason Vangelis was never given credit for this track was because like so many other music tracks used in this series, it was most likely the work of some cover band or music group "inspired" by Vangelis.

Even when you look up Vangelis on IMBD, credits go back to the 60s for his music and nowhere does it mention Magnum PI. I was actually surprised at how many TV show tracks were done by this artist.
