I think... the paint for the ROTF sideswipe is WAY WAY WAY BETTER cos they have metallic silver and a better window. But for they DOTM sideswipe is just plain grey with dark brown window which I find very disturbing.

I bought this months ago and opened it last night. Really dig the DOTM sideswipe: it's full of details (albeit lack of paint) and the drop top adds 10000x flavors to it.

Wouldn't be a bad idea for more autobots come in convertible format: it looks nice and significantly eliminates the backpack problem. Hasbro you herrrd?

@loltransformer To me I was initially disappointed after unboxing it: it was really small. But as I played with it more and noticed all the details of this mold, I didn't have any problems with it anymore. $19.95 is a bit more than you should be paying, imo.

they put him backwards!!!! why the frikin heck would they do that!? it's super easy for the toy makers to just reverse his robot mode inside his vehicle mode, but they just had to make the hood have exhaust pipes on the inside, and the front lights to look exactly like the back lights, didn't they!? so dam pissed... i'd love this figure otherwise... AND THEN THERE'S THE ROOFLESS BACKPACK

DOTM Sideswipe < ROTF Sideswipe. The MechTech weapon still can't beat the ROTF's Sidey's "flippable" dual blades. And yeah, the paint apps as well. Look harder, I am sure some TF-Hardcore stores may still have them. ROTF Sideswipe was my first TF Movie figure, and I am very proud of it!

Bought this guy yesterday then painted him with metallic black and silver paint, and he looks more badass than I ever thought possible! I liked the color scheme he had before, but it was a little to bland for me, so customizing him was actually a really fun experience. Love the review!
