Egg/sperm donation is like prostitution to me. The woman screws her body with the hormonal treatment for money. Nobody deserves the gift of live than one's own partner.That makes a relationship so beuatiful. The majority of people will never become egg/sperm donor. They just would not admit because they are afraid to be labeled as selfish. But that is not selfish, that is called self preservation.

This is ethically wrong. Isn't human reproduction sacred anymore? If a couple wants a baby THAT BAD they should adopt. There are thousands of babies already out there who need loving parents. BUT NO, selecting a sperm/egg donor who is highly intelligent and tall is too tempting than adopting an average baby.

Conception should not be a business practice. Aren't any of you religious?

Well some parents wants to experience a pregnancy...and unfortunately some woman's bodies cannot do that. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with donating an egg. The only unfortunate part is that genetically, the child will be yours. Personally, I'm not gonna have children no time soon and I don't plan too. So, why not give some away for a deserving couple?

I seriously looked into egg donation a few years back, and let me tell you ladies there is a REASON they pay you $5000 and up. What turned me off to the process was there are some heavy duty hormones involved that make you ovulate like crazy, (and gain weight oftentimes too) and they harvest the eggs by injecting you with a huge needle and on top of all that they recommend you abstain from sex during most of the process, something like a month or two. The application process sucks, also.
