@THUND3R63 Yes, Most of the building was done in creative mode. I built a huge section of the Death Star. I did use MCEdit for the final part, to copy and paste the section I had built to give the trench the desired length effect.

@gp75motorsports a whole deathstar would be about 17,157,284,680,000,000 blocks in size given the fact that that 1 billion seconds is almost 33 years. and the amount of blocks, it would take you 549,033,109 years to make it if you place 1 block per second non stop. Even if every mincrafter in the world would help it would still take 122 years of nonstop work, impossible.

@MaxArceus And that's if everything goes right. Plus screw-ups and mistakes (which there would be a lot of), it would take probably 140 years. Not to mention the fact that you'd have to find some way around the world height limit.

@damnagoraz I was building it on a server so I could control the day/night cycle, and due to server bugs in the minecraft version I was using at the time, peaceful still had mobs!

@YingNog McEdit did help when I needed to extend the set yes :) If you check out my "I Am Alien" music video, that set was built in beta, took 3 months and all by hand, no creative mode, no mcedits, so I know what you mean!

This is amazing for sure. I just have one really simple question. You are on creative mode, why wouldn't you switch to peaceful just to keep the hostile mobs outta your hair? I would understand if you were on survival and you were trying to do this legit. But if they can't hurt you anyway...? Only curious, BTW... Not being picky about what you've created :)

@ParadiseDecay lol well you're obviously not a Minecraft or building noob. Next time do yourself a favor and just get into the text file "server.properties" and change the line "spawn-monsters=" from true to false. you can even turn off the animals if you want!
