Really funny song, I think the BBC did portray these people in a bad light especially the first 2 episodes, the last 2 episodes where a wee bit more realistic and i liked the follow up one year later. I hope that Marvin and Dayna and the 2 brothers featured in the program manage to stay off the drugs and build a better life for themselves.

If you feel differently then its sad you cant see the humourous intention of the song without letting personal issues ruin it for you x
I'm glad you've made this. There's a "Scheme" everywhere you go, and to be honest, compared to places I've lived in Glasgow, Onthank was pretty tame. People also seem to forget the fact that the most of the people featured on the programme, wanted to change and make their lives better. The BBC made enough money from this and could have at least contributed to making Onthank a better place to live, for example, they could have donated cash to the Cree's in their mission to reopen the centre. Its what a lot of people were saying...even my Shortlees friends. My Dad was born In Shortlees and stayed there till he was in his late 20's and even he thinks its funny.

Very good and actually quite insightful lyrics - they could have filmed it in any town in Scotland or England or Ireland and got exactly the same programme. First time around the scheme was funny, second time around it was just very sad :-(
