we used to listen to this every friday nite before going to the glamside refresheria down on west boulevard and central it was as heavy as a neutron bomb -class of 76 trunk state TX
Gee that's nice of Brian, considering these guys were doing this kind of thing long before he was, and he made the pilgrimage to their studios...not the other way round...credit where it's due people.
@mannoe Of course, the influence of collaboration doesn't work only one way. And Cluster always gave props to the people they worked with, especially Eno, Michael Rother and Conny Plank. Roedelius said in 1997 about their collaborators: "Michael, as well as Eno, gave a lot and had a certain focus regarding our common work... Obviously working with Michael changed my and Moebius' focus, I don't know if Michael got the same benefit from working with us as we did working with him."
@FreakyPhil32 HA! What a very sharp observation! I can definitely see how this would have influenced BOC. In fact, this has a Campfire Headphase feel to it. The main melody actually sounds like a cross between what would become "Dayvan Cowboy" and "Oscar See Through Red Eye." Do you hear it as well?
Just discovered these by accident, What a find! This is feckin' ace, sounds like it could have been produced today, it's that cool. Definitely shades of BOC in the mix too... cluster are my new favourite band, I'll be trying to hunt these down on vinyl =D
yeah Sugar-Time in Hollywood always, and one can see the important german connection with this incredible music, from Kraftwerk, Neu, Harmonia and Cluster, these guys worked to advance electronic Rock then Punk, 70s to 80s !!!
why does it day brian eno approved, he went to work with cluster took their ideas and buggered off to use them on david bowie's low, i think eno is a douchebag.
david byrne and brian eno - my life in the bush of ghosts was good

This version seems to differ from the album version a little. Maybe it's the youtube compression, but I actually think it sounds better here!

@FreakyPhil32 I was just recommended to them because someone told me they sound like BOC, I didn't think they would be this similar.

I can easily see how this has influenced Boards of Canada. Both are great anyway.
