Only Barney Frank could get away with cheap shots at Ralph Nader. No one in the Senate says anything about Frank's crapola because they don't want to be accused of gay bashing. Since I am not in the Senate and I can luxuriate in the purity of my irrelevance let me say this. It is a shame that someone with so little class and so little intelligence can con voters into putting him into the United States Senate. Barney Frank should be working as a clerk in the local drug store.
Wow. What a piece of work Barney Frank is. He takes the weakest legislation he can find and dresses it up to look like he is pro consumer and then makes bs statements like luxuriate in the purity of irrelevance. His legislation is the most irrelevant available which is why he has been put where he is keeping banking as unregulated as possible. He is a friend of bankers (especially the gay ones) and no use to the people he is supposed to represent.
Barney Frank should stick to refuting Ralph Nader's statements instead of accusing Mr. Nader's motives for asking. Attacking the character of Ralph Nader undermines Congressman Frank's credibility.
Where is the 2010 Independent Candidate who will scrape this Barnacle out of office in the Fourth Congressional District of Massachusetts? 28 years is too long for this insincere incumbent to run unopposed.
this kind of thing is lots more interesting than Frank or Nader vs 'x' wingnut think-tanker.
Really really highlights how the time constraints of the cable bobblehead format--selling eyeballs to advertisers with the catnip of public affairs--impoverishes the public discourse.
Has it ever been more self-evident than over this last decade how ridiculously oversold the 'magic of markets' is?
Where was the debate? One wanted big regulation, and the other wanted bigger regulation. All the while the 75,000 pages of federal regulation on businesses that we have, continue to throw us in the proverbial sh*t storm of idiocracy. The only thing Ralph had going for him was that he wanted to "shift some power to the consumers and investors." Barney is just a talking head, still blaming this crises on the Bush administration when the democrats had the majority in congress to reign him in.
around 3 min ralph said an extremely true statement, and I agree with his idea about breaking up the top dogs who have control over small business. meaning WE NEED TO STOP CORPS FROM putting mom and pop out of businesses (small business)
its worse then the jock beating up the dork in HS for lunch money, were talking billions of dollars if not trillions! People don't even realize how much money that is, you can't even count to 1 billion if you counted all the time for the rest of your life.
Nader Needs to be President!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really its just a big show when the US dollar takes a big value hit or goes to 0.
That's why money has to be commodity , that way the government doesn't counterfeit your life's savings into oblivion.

Nader is barely giving Barney a chance to respond. Nader is talking over him. He shouldn't do that.
