Paul Simon are showing us that music does not have to be a technical 'tour-de-force'.

Compare (unfortunately) to 'steven king' (the self-called 'king of guitar') Get your nerves damaged: visit his version of the song you do here.

There's nothing wrong with Steven King's version, as I'm sure the artist playing this would agree. The reasons that it's more technical are a) he isn't using a capo and b) he plays the melody that's being sung in this video (and accompanies it). I prefer this version here, just because of the tone on the nylon strings as opposed to King's steel strung acoustic and maybe the humming. No need to slam the guy for his different playing style though.
