  • Just NO

  • Almost Similar.

  • sounds nothing like enter shikari

  • Need more roll on the drums. And to change it up a little bit. Listen to the song a little more =]

  • needs a little bit more roll on the drums but besides that its sick

  • sick as! but that isn't sorry you're not a winner..?

  • this is very very good, but completely wrong, if you get me:)

  • haha yeah i know what you mean it's sick! but its not sorry you're not a winner:P

  • how much is this thing?

  • OMFG THIS IS AMAZING :D

Can you put up a download mix for this track?

  • *link not mix haha!

  • pretty nice!!! which tempo do you used for that pattern? it looks to go very fast like around 180 bpm.

i like the lead. like a trance sound, and the melody... like a strange mix of D&B and trance lead sound

  • wa you on about nailed it

the interlude drums are wrong and so is the overall melody

sounds good still, but it isnt enter shikari

  • shikariii love their korg stuff...i found out that the synth used on the intro is actually a mircokorg default song( about a month after i bought it) and the opening synth effect is default program number 78 on the kaoss pad 2. Gotta love them though. im getting this after a guy ripped me off and conned me on ebay for the ea1

  • i agree m8 bt still i find it good

  • good stuff

  • if you twist the beat a little, you could use this as already an own song with this synth line. great stuff

  • yeah why didnt i think of that, MAYBE BECAUSE ITS CALLED A REMIX YOU WHANKER!

  • chill out mayte.. he was just saying

  • doesnt actually say its a remix, seeing as it isnt stated it appears to the viewer to be an attempted cover

  • Nailed it!

  • for all the sounds you still need a kaoss pad 2 :P

  • yep

  • so good man, 5 star

  • great 5 star!

  • nice

  • thats a good variation of it though?

  • damn matt dont diss on the man, shit is still good

  • it's close but the beat is wrong and so are the notes in the synth

  • Hmmm...

    Reminds Me Of Midnight Carnival

Check Them Out On Myspace I Think You'd Like Them If You Like Enter Shikari

    =]

  • I am saving up for a new Korg EMX but th costs like 500 bucks at guitar center...dont buy used because sometimes they can have defects...and if its broken (on ebay) it can be hard to fix...remember its analog.

  • where u buy those things?

  • i think the synth thing is wrong.

  • the drum tempo isnt right and you need a roll efect and i think u can get the pich control so you dont have to turn the dial :D

  • How Did You Get That

  • with money haha

  • no shit.

  • did you downloaded a midi files?

  • it was made!

  • Thats so sweet

  • that is AMAZING!! :D

  • Do you need a smartcard for the emx or can you make your own songs without one?

  • You can use a smart card for extra space.. but you don't really need one theres enough space when you get one for a while.

  • preciate it. i have a lot to learn just got mine last week.

  • that was sick, i might get one soon:)

  • WANT 1!!!!

  • thats quality; how does it work? is there a way of playing the notes or dyu sample stuff?

  • Very good. 5 Stars

  • ehh soo jeaulous I'm getting an electribe soon

  • hmm the guitar sounds like sh'o't on this and the drums, hmm same... but all the rest like tact and so is fine :D

  • how much you get it for im gonna buy one

  • its good, any chance of a full version?

  • i like the synth bit

  • the drums are a complete no

  • sounds like a fisher price keyboard

  • i'd have to agree. its pushing fisher price. Early learning center maybe haha

  • I notice that you have 0 videos with an electribe on youtube. It's much harder than you think. If you cant do better or don't have proof, don't say somebodys shit is weak.

I think it's really good mate i cant wait i'm getting an electribe soon.

  • its not a keyboard

  • no shit sherlock!!

  • LOL +1 greatest comment ever

  • was it hard to create this beat?

  • what software do you use

and where did you get this samples?

  • not quite the song but its a really good try

  • sounds pretty neat

    well done

  • what makes the sounds of this thing? sorry but im new to these and i want to learn about them.

  • love this one cause you some sounds which are amazing although may not sound like the original gd job :D

  • now exact but a hell of a lot better that wat i an do

  • lol nice!

  • yh its £500 coz mi m8 got 1 yestadai

  • Its about 380 on the internet

  • mannn thats so badass

how much did that guy cost you?

  • I think it's about 500 Euro

  • hahahahah kaoss board

  • Where all the sounds MADE on the emx1 or are they made on other things ?

sorry im just trying to learn abit more about them :)

  • yes they are! :)

  • it sounded like the live intro thats the shit! :D

  • same,

  • i actually think this is better than the real intro

  • it's not the same melody and beat. but you still can hear what you wanted to make. good work!

  • is this what enter shikari actually uses in their songs? what else do they use?

i also saw a kp3 in one of their songs

  • KP2 actually

    But still great xD

  • rou uses what's called a kaoss board... they're sweet..

  • pad not board

  • he uses a korg sampler and those kaoss pads

  • Rou used a sample back in the olden days - 04ish.

(Seen in the sorry your not a winner video)

    He also used a kp2.

He now uses a MICROKORG, EMX-1, KP2 and accasionally the RADIAS.

Rou does not use a sampler anymore, he simply sequences his patterns on his KORG EMX (Electribe music production station) and simply presses play.

THAT SHOULD SPLVE ALL THIS ARGUING OVER A 'KAOSS BOARD' ETC.

    HAHA, KAOSS BOARD :D

  • Nah man, this is wrong

Rou uses an Ea II, Emx-1, KP2, KP3, Radius & Zero

He uses his kp2 and 3 for samples, If you listen to their Re-released version of We Can Breathe In Space, youll clearly hear massive samples being used.

  • Hmm, in the SYNAW video there is clearly an es mk2 on the upper tier and the kp2 and ea- mk2 on the bottom.

Your right he does use the Ea II, Emx-1, KP2, KP3, Radius & Zero

But he also used the es mk2.

Oh and yeah i was listening to the radio last night haha. Yeah there are lots of samples haha

  • Have you any idea how old that video is?

There is no basis for fact in that video

  • I know how old it is, i was saying that he has used it in the past.

You said he uses the ea- mk2 but he doesnt use that now. He used that in the same era as the es mk2

    :)

  • he does use his mk2, hes used it this entire october tour. Every peice of synth he has, goes on stage live for tours. Other shows vary

The only exception is the radius, sometimes he dosnt use that.

  • haha am seeing them at rock city in october, i went last dencember as well for the all nighter was amazing xx

  • I went there to watch bmth super cool place plus im seing enter shikari at peterborough before you :P

  • Where abouts cuz im going on the 10th of october

  • Its in Peterborough

    The cresset

  • yea same guna be awesome

  • rockcity?

im going to see them there this year

    you live in notts?

    xx

  • it barely sounds like the real intro at all

the effects are right, but all the notes and beats are wrong

  • Wtf, that sounds awesome.

  • i remember when rou introduced this song at rock city he called it "sorry your not a remix...." legend!

  • check out "sorry your not a winner rock city" now thats a fuckin awesome intro, i was there that night i still think about it now!! I LOVE THESE GUYS!!

  • awesome dude

  • it may not be exct, but its still pretty damn good i think!

    well done!

  • sorry m8, but the sound and the high drums ain't good

  • That cant be easy lol

  • Even tho it sounds completely off, it still sounds good

  • Good work

  • how do you program these things like with a MIDI and Like a program like FL STUDIO or what

  • seen better sorry man doesnt sound like it

  • try it down a tone or maybe just half

  • Lol...jesus..

I hope you know there are tutorials for this stuff... you don't have to get it wrong.

  • thats not right.

    intro is wrong

  • good

  • they got a tutorial for this on the enter shikari forums, its accurate, u shud just use that 1 my nigga

  • This is better than the other one, try using this beat (or improve upon)

    But use the Kp.?

    x

  • i want one :(

  • oh wow he has the rhythm rong... hah bludi hah not every1's perfect m8.... nice work dude

iv orded 1 o these for the next week or so, but iv been told ther discontinued after the shops hav their april stock shipped in

  • wrong.

  • how constructive.

    Dick head.

  • Wrong

DICK HEAD DICK HEAD nice :P im gonna use that more in life

  • just turned 13 by any chance?

  • Hey im 17 foo! XD

  • missing like 1 drum beat at the beginning but apart from that pretty good (Y)

  • good but uhm..... it doesnt really sound like it lol.

  • how do i work these things im thinking in buying one do i need a keyboard or a microkorg or anything to do this? help?

  • u can use a korg or keyboard or anything u want to run through it or record bits onto it. but it also has buttons at the bottom u can use like a keyboard to record directly onto it.

  • naaah you can't record onto the emx, only onto the ESX, which doesn't have the same synth capabilities as the EMX... although it does have preset synth sounds & drums.

you can sequence keyboards from either one though via midi.

  • oh right, fook.

but u can record bits uv played on the emx onto itself though cant u?

  • yeah you can sequence notes on the emx's internal synth, or sequence an external synth via midi.

got my esx wed & been havin loadsa fun on it =]]

  • oh ok, so once its like programmed in just hit play/pause and ur sorted.

nice :D do u have an emx aswell or just the esx

  • yep simple as that, although the note programing can be a bit of a pain... one reason to go for the sampler

just got the esx, but i've looked into it quite a bit and know the differences & that =]

  • yep, simple as that, although note programming can be a bit of a pain... one reason it's useful to have the sampler.

just got the esx, but i've looked into it a bit and know the differences & that =]

  • ahh, il have a think then, might go for an esx.

    cheers anyway =]

  • I just have the EMX, as seen in the video.

  • is it possible to record my own samples into this bad boy? if not do you know any hardware sampler that would allow me record my own stuff

  • the sister of the EMX-1 (the one seen in this video) is what you're looking for, it's called the ESX-1

  • is this what rou uses cus im gettin one soon nearly have enough=]

  • Yeah Rou used this.

    Get this, not the ESX

  • simply great

  • Do you know if you can send me theese Tracks? They're Amazing :]

  • OMG this is actually amazing!! i actually wanted to staryting jumping around :DD

  • wickid mate.

  • Hi mate, i would be really grateful if you could reply to this...

With an electribe, do you have to have a synth to work it.

I am new to this and it would be great if you could message me or reply.

    Thanks x

  • Nope, The Electribe is a complete music production station, totally self sufficient.

  • Thanks dude.

  • Wkd remix mate, it's ace.

    Good stuff

  • nicely remixed

  • how easy is it to use a synth and how much r they averagely?

  • depends on the one you get.

Here, he's using just Korg's Groovebox called the Electribe MX-1. Rou from Enter Shikari uses this, an ES-1MKII and a MircoKorg and occasionally a Radias R3.

MicroKorg is the basic starter synth, or Alesis Micron. Run you about 200-350$ on eBay. EMX-1 wise, they're about 500$ anywhere. Hope than answered your question.

  • cheers mate thats reel nice of u :)

  • pretty shit tbf.

  • Actually, its pretty sweet.

  • how much was this machine?

  • New - (around) £400.

    Ebay - (around) £250.

Depends whether your bothered if its second hand.

  • oh dude, you should 'motion sequence' the pitch of the snare so that you don't have to turn it when playing, it does it automatically,

    pretty gd though!

  • You Get this on there album at the song before SYNAW and it goes straight into SYNAW and it sounds really good and this my friend is AWESOME Keep it up :D

  • very creative with the use of the appegiator for the drum rolls.

    wicked!

  • thats almost like a slightly remixed version...i like =D

  • wow thats really awsome good job :)

    i like it :]

  • is the emx better than the esx?

i'm thinkin about picking up the emx and learning it.

  • esx is a sampler, this is just pure sythn, i say get the emx first, then later get esx

  • naah i'd say if you're goin to get 2 units, get a basic synth like microKORG then the esx, that way you've got a load of synth capabilities as well as sampling and sequencing. you could even sequence the synth and sample it at the same time, so with that you can do everything the emx could do, but with sampling and even more synth sound available

  • sounds great :]

  • to be fair i acutally prefer this one.

  • Nice try dude!Still sounds great

  • I don't like the drums like drum&bass but I loved the Synth line!!! Really nice for tech-trance

  • It's not exactly the same but it still sounds good =]

  • PLEASE tell me how to do the intro drum part! what setting did you use???? PLEASE TELL MEE..

  • this is so wrong..

  • r u modulating the drums through the arpeggiator pad?

  • yes

  • not quite, your missin notes and beats but its very close, awesome.

how much do these things cost?

  • nice attempt

    keep trying almost there (Y)

  • awesome!!!

  • Lol nice 1...
