  • Omg poor people

  • swedish guy in the start ;o

  • @mchazab1 do you know where those who mostly survived were sitting?

  • living an experience

  • It has definitely changed lives.

  • terrifying

  • I was there one week after this accident. When I landed i saw some residues and something with a rag over that. Tragic

  • Why did the plane crash?

    Because it thought 'Phucket'

  • the should ban this MD planes

  • Because wind shear and pilot error brought it down?

  • FYI this SAME guy was in the plane crash in Denver where 38 people where injured. I don't know if he is really unlucky or really lucky.

  • ? oh really, how u now it???

  • man some of you people need to get a grip. GO HELP PEOPLE GO HELP... yeah right. Did you see the one guy on the grass? he was all covered in blood, I'm sure he's able to go help people. Besides emergency workers wouldn't let them help anyways. You don't want to be mucking anywhere near a plane crash with all the toxic chemicals and the fire.

  • No offense to anyone. But you may say you would help someone during a situation like that, but how would you know? There is obviously a shock during a disaster that prevents most people from helping others. Honestly why risk your life when you almost died and survived???

Would you really?? After surviving a plane crash would you really risk your life after you so merely escaped death?? I don't think anyone knows the answer unless they were really there. So it's not cool to bag these guys fornot

  • I think it depends on your character and mental state.

  • Totally agree

  • Svenskar?!

  • That's what I thought too!

Did he say:"Filmar du?" at the beggining?

  • yeh he did

  • no he said 'fuck you' in swahili.. idiot

  • nä mongoler fattar du väl?

  • r.i.p. larisa fayed.

    she was my girl. ;(

  • no help? i'll just walk away....

  • they wouldnt be alowed to help people of hats down to the air crue and fire service

  • shiit dom e fan svenskar :O

  • was this md 8x too? , man, those mother fucking planes suck!

  • Another shitty MD-82 crashed today in Madrid. :( It's time to get rid of these planes.

  • Norsker?!

  • swedish

  • planes is very stupid thing!!it should be replaced by super speed train around the globe!!

  • OMG they are from sweden like me!! holy crap!

  • Is that the One-Two-Go MD-82 accident at Phuket last year?

  • Yes it is.

  • Oh ok. Hope you guys are well and safe now and forever.

  • wow...thats insane

  • i would be helping n not caring about wat da airline crew gonna say

  • To everyone commenting on why those guys aren't helping...the airline requires that everyone stay clear of the aircraft. It's the crews job to assist in evacuation when the fuselage is still largely intact and everyone appears to be alive. I feel the same way you do though...they seem like a couple of twats.

  • would you help anyone if you were shocked? first thing that comes to my mind-shit, this machine might blow up...

  • the guys are in shock and are lucky to be alive..

  • i came back from phuket a few weeks ago lucky i took thai airways...

  • Lucky to be alive yes. Really nice to know that there are people who sit filming whilst people burn to death inside the wreckage. In the time it took to film this, how many could you have helped? I know what I'd be doing.......

  • Non! They rescue all they could befor leaving the plane. When a plane is burning you have only a few minutes to escape.

  • Yeah, I know what you´d be doing, running away from that thing!!!!

  • The plane wasn't a THAI AIRWAYS but a ONE-TWO-GO plane

  • Lucky twats

  • Yeah these guys were sitting right next to the exits when the plane crashed and were the first ones out.

  • how u now it? have u been in that plane....it looks horrible :(

  • bloody hell thats bad! but lease the plane is in one piece so most could get out!!

  • Most died, actually.

  • well at least u got a story u can tell when u have kids

  • This plane crashed because of wind shear.

  • 3 of the 9 Windsheear sensors at Phuket where offline because they where run by batteries charged by solar panels and the batteries where depleted.

  • were any of ye on this i think not so shut up

  • yea tru but it can happen to any of us...so if we werent in that plane we cannot comment? u shouldnt too.........

  • the pilot is indonisian not thai many indo pilot got lay out from their job in indo so they went to thailand to find a job they should learn more physics or mathermatics

only thai inter airline is real thai pilot ha ha

  • The inverter rudder was damaged by shrap on approach. No pilot error.

  • You people haven't got a fucking clue what you are talking about. A 24 year-old plane is perfectly safe if it is maintained well. A 1 year old plane that is not maintained well is a hell of a lot more dangerous.

The MD80 series of aircraft are still flying with major airlines like Delta, American, Alitalia, Iberia, Alaskan, Avianca, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Spanair... to name a few. Most of these airlines do not plan to get rid of them anytime soon.

  • Did you know... That MD 80s have the worst avaition disaster, lets say about 78 incidents

  • Well, they have been flying in large numbers for 24 years, so 78 incidents are not alot. It's a very good plane and if they are well maintained their birth date is irrelevant in terms of safety, a 24 year-old plane has been overhauled more than twice, not a single part of it left the factory with the plane 24 years ago.

  • The MD 82 of this 1 2 Go is almost 24yrs old. Same as the DC 9 made by MD company as now Boeing bought over MD company and produced same designed B717 with larger engines at the rear. Watch this video which explains clearly about aging aircrafts at youtube

    watch?v=YemTd0v8FAU&mode=related&search=

  • The second thing which cause this crash is pilot error.

  • actually they did help out. i read about their story in the news. at this moment the professionals might have told them to stay back.

  • on 3-aug-07 iwas with my family on that aircraft REG/HS-OMG

    from phuket to bangkok

  • For What?

  • fuck that guy pissing out blood poor guy

  • Stay away from old and defunct aircrafts like DC or MD makes...

  • Magnifique video

  • I'm not sure that I'd rush over there to help, but these able-bodied gentlemen could have helped save lives.

  • easy talking on your sofa.. Disgusting is the ease of pointing fingers. Ever heard of shock? Angst? Complete chaos?

  • I agree with JDJD. It is disgraceful that it took so long for emergency crews to arrive. Who knows how many people could have been saved if they'd turned up in time.

  • could passenger who filmed this contact through website Thaisnews dot com

  • This on-the-scene, immediately-after-the-crash video adds a horrifying reality to the news accounts we've been following the last few days. It is disturbing to see lack of emergency services for such a long time. Passengers claim that it far exceeded the 3-minute response time required by international airports.
