If you have a right to something, you own it and are responsible for it. You're responsible for your body because you own the right to it. Nobody else is responsible for your body. You don't need to ask permission from anybody to exercise a right. If somebody temporarily grants something to you, it's not a right. It's a privilege. Obama's setting up a system where you have to ask Obama, or one of his stooges, for permission to maintain your body as you see fit. He's violating our rights.

Your understanding of economics is very limited. The bill puts 30 million more people on the rolls without providing any mechanism to increase supply of doctors. Have you any idea what it costs to produce one quality doctor? If prices aren't allowed to rise massively to incentivize people to enter the field, the quality of medicine will plummet or scarce medical resources will have to be severly rationed (death panels). What good's being covered if you can't get in before you go terminal?

You could say that Hong Kong has the illusion of freedom because we have no taxation without representation. There is no sales tax, no death tax, no capital gains tax, and our income tax is around 12 to 17 percent. And that is it.
On top of that, we still have the colonial civil courts which protect our personal and property rights through civil law.
