Far more men from the republic fought and died in the british army in BOTH world wars, even after independence so I don't know what you're being so proud about.

The UVF is a joke it has killed more innocent people than anything else and they even give the IRA a hand. They were responsible for 426 killings during the Troubles. These are Statistics from 'The Official Troubles Death toll'
350 of its victims were civilians,
8 were civilian political activists, mainly members of Sinn Féin
41 were loyalist paramilitaries (including 29 members of the UVF itself),
im sorry but you misunderstand, the UVF of 1912-1921 was nothing to do with the UVF of 19166-2007 the original UVF were a part of a division of the army and were the only division to achieve all there objectives on the 1st July 1916 at the somme

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

It saddens me to think that the sacrifice made by all those who died in 1914-1918, 1939-1945 and beyond was all in vain.
Our freedoms, traditions and heritage have been given away or sold by our politicians. Shame on them.

Mythology overtakes history and facts yet again. The Irish 10th and 16th Division lost more on the somme than the 36th but hey who remembers them?
RIP all brave Irishmen who fell in the Great War

Do a bit of research mate.
The UVF at the battle of the Somme are a different UVF to the current drug dealers.
Also during the troubles the IRA killed more innocent people than everyone else put together.
