  • Wow, Ringo's drumming! So weird but it really gives the song character. He truly is/was underrated.

  • 7:23 Is that Jon Stewart?

  • I like the part where nobody sings (:

  • ?? this is fuckin dumb

  • A nice unusual version listen to my bands cover version on mrstreetavenue

  • drugs.

  • I LOVE IT! GREAT JOB!

  • You know how it is. You're sitting at the mellotron, playing the flutes, and before you know it, 9 minutes have gone by.

  • Listen to 'Shakermaker' by Oasis and you'll see where Noel Gallagher got the inspiration from!

  • i love that mellotron sound.

  • nice pics man

  • It's always interesting to listen to the unproduced uncompressed tracks. Without the production, especially the compression, which the Beatles and George Martin used extensively, they sound almost live. They sound more modern. I know it's sacrilege, but I would love to see them REMIX the later beatles recordings (I know there's not much they can do with the first few albums), However, they also don't sound like us old folks remember them, so I guess I'll always prefer the originals.

  • @msgtchris They Didnt compress the tracks like modern music they appear distorted

  • very good drumming in hello goodbye!! :D

  • whoa bill burroughs put it down....and the gun 2

  • TY for posting ive always thought "flying" was one of the beatles most underated tracks

  • This is my favourite version of the track. Too bad they didn't put it on Anthology!

And yes, Kubrick used the footage filmed for MMT in the ending of 2001.

  • Nice work. Love it.

  • dang this is the real long version!

  • i've heard a lot of their alternate takes for other albums, but never magical mystery tour. it's awesome.

  • Thanks for sharing this .I had never heard these versions before. Hey man you did a great job I certainly appreciate it..

  • Kubrick? I have heard the footage was shot in Iceland. I've never heard of Kubrick sharing outtakes... stylistic coincidence more likely.

  • Thanks! Long live The Beatles!

  • Hey man this is very cool stuff here!!!! Anything odd or different from the greatest band in the world is very okay with me!

Fine job mate and thanks for sharing.

  • ringo's drumming in hello, goodbye is superb :D

  • @ledrush6 Certainly is, this weird looseness but fits perfectly. Hello Goodbye for me one of the greatest 'pop songs'- wonderful upbeat vibe, great music, incredible call & response in the singing

  • @ledrush6 because paul probably did the drumming (notice no bass in the song) not to mention that paul and george did lots of drumming and dubbing during other sessions. ringo is overrated by Beatles fans (yet underrated by proponents of other groups)

  • Thanks to Julian for posting this at his blog. I really love seeing all the rare images and the gentle sound of the instrumentals.

this made my day thank you. I am posting it at my page on myspace.

  • finally, I've been looking for the 9 minute version of this in a while. Thanks for uploading!
