I just have a couple quick questions since you seem to know the proposal from cover to cover, should be very easy and simple for you to answer.
insurance carriers pay out FAR less than they take in, its how they make a profit. the govt is a non-profit entity, the "profit" that it doesn't pay out in claims is redirected back into itself. that "profit" will pay off the deficit, pay unemployment, help schools, etc....govt run health insurance is basically a necessary tax increase with a bonus, but because so many people are out of work, only certain people can pay the tax. people who cant, aren't taxed to death.

What is left in this plan? The only "reforms" to speak of would be that the government will now set up a bureaucracy that makes sure that everyone has "acceptable" health insurance, and they will fine the people that don't! I have been trying to fight this - made up a petition, delivered it, called, faxed, emailed, marched on D.C. twice (I drove from Michigan) - what else can I possibly do??? I tried to do a web page to fight this, active in local and nationwide groups, attempting to call people to action. Now what do I do? My reps don't listen. I have called others out of state, but they don't like it when we do that, even though what they vote on effects ME in MY state!
Another tool we have is to stage loud protests, to spread word and realistic sense of uncertainty into the local and global news. This should cause further pullback from foreigners purchasing Treasuries.

insurance carriers pay out FAR less than they take in, its how they make a profit. the govt is a non-profit entity, the "profit" that it doesn't pay out in claims is redirected back into itself. that "profit" will pay off the deficit, pay unemployment, help schools, etc....govt run health insurance is basically a necessary tax increase with a bonus, but because so many people are out of work, only certain people can pay the tax. people who cant, aren't taxed to death.

What is left in this plan? The only "reforms" to speak of would be that the government will now set up a bureaucracy that makes sure that everyone has "acceptable" health insurance, and they will fine the people that don't! This will also add more people to the insurance rolls, WITHOUT adding new doctors! How is this positive change? Until Senator Coburn stood up last week to ask for the reading of the amendment, you folks haven't done a thing to slow down the process through parliamentary procedures available to you. How can we help?
We can't get there with the snowstorm and all Dem Senators lines go to full voicemail boxes.
I personally have been to DC 4 times in the last 3 months, petitioned, emailed, called every Senator (the 16 most likely to go for this travesty every single day for weeks). I've twittered, been on facebook, protested, went to numerous tea parties and protests, told everyone I know.
What else can we do?

I am a serial caller on the "stupid" stuff that Congress is trying to pass. I can not tell you how disrespectful the staffers for my state have been. I have been laughed at, lied to, dismissed, hung-up on,and disrespected. I have tried to use facts and logic, be specific,articulate, and knowledgeable on the statistics. America, I am sorry to report Congress does not care what we the people think. Tyranny is coming, this health care bill has convinced me it is coming fast. God help us all.

I also agree with the you that what we are seeing is Fascism. The people of the United States are being ran over by the government and large corporations. The small businesses have not profited, nor cottage industries, family farms and individuals. We are not big enough to fail, it is a sad commentary on what the political system has become. We MUST reinstate the Constitution as it was written and hold those that have breached it accountable.
