Definitely an improvement over the GT version of the 5-series. I'm sure they'll be jackasses that'll ridicule this car (like the previous 7-series) at launch, but give it a year and watch other car companies copy this car. Current BMW models have a clean/luxury int. that isn't nearly as fussy like with audi, benz, lexus etc...The advantage of this "boring" design is so it won't look dated in only two years, and truth be told most non-BMW drivers are too stupid to figure out how to use i-drive.

I agree with some of the comments here that BMW was really becoming boring but with this 5-series they will nuke the competition, of course until new 2011 Audi A6 comes out.

It's a bit hard to explain something as subjective as beauty, but I could say what I like about it I suppose.

It has an agressive looking front end and stance while still having "feminine" curves and lines.

It also has a sporty looking stance that implies good performance, but refrains from looking "boy-racer-ish".

Especially in profile (at least compared to the previous 5-series) it's proportions are very pleasing to me. It just looks nicely balanced.

I guess that's it.

1- booring look a bit like Lexus you forget that you bought one after a week

2- very traditional and conserves design and it is somehow look like the older car if you put it along side the previous one.

3- very similar to the 7-series which is not that good looking and very stupid rear end.

4- the interior is very very booring you almost find it in all BMW models from the 1-series to the 7-series and the X-series and the Z4 and it is very old and over simple unlike Audi and Merc all of those two car s has his own interior design and character.

All i can say that this 5-series is very disppointing to me and i get use to have this feeling when a new BMW generation arrive since 2002 BMW making a shitty cars.

The problem here is that people are comparing this to the e60 m-sport model which the are used to see in many videos. If you compare f10 to the basic model of e60, i think that f10 is clearly better looking.

I agree, the E60 was much more aggressive looking, and I did like it's 'edgy' look it had. It had these sexy cat-like eyes. The 7 series was the design I disliked the most from Chris Bangle. The 3-series E92 coupe however still looks better in the front than this new 5-series imo, as it still mains that sharp look.
