i dont get how anyone could prefer the 348 styling. first off, the wheels...i dont even know what ferrari was thinking. the side strakes are hideous and the early 348's have the black plastic lower moldings all around the car. yuck! the 348 is waaaay more dated looking. thats a fact. ferrari hit the nail on the head with the 355. timeless styling, last of the true ferrari's, a bargain, and more bang for the buck compared to previous gen v8 ferrari's.

I tough in buying a 348, then by the price of the F355 i was thinking in that one also...

But now, no way because the service of the cam belt for those 2 machines is around 5000 Euros, and it's safer to change every year.

I will go for the 360, the cam belt change in Portugal costs around 1500 Euros, and normal service not more than 500 to 1000 Euros.

And let's be realistic, the 360 is more a Super Car than those 2...

when i saw the title of this vid i though ur attempt at a doughnut was probably gonna fucking suck. surprisingly it didn't and you even did a perfect take off at the end. its good to see someone post a skills video that actually has some driving skill. wonder what u do for a living to get a ferrari in the first place and then have it shipped to France no less?

I am an undertaker ! it was a holiday to watch the Le Mans 24hr race, a group of us went over. we took a Ford transit for all our camping. It was cheaper on the ferry to take the Transit + car trailer ( with my car on it ) than to take 2 cars on there!!??! The trailer was a safety net in case one of the cars broke down, we didn't want to leave our car with the french rescue service! i had just got the car off ready for the drive down to the circuit

Loved the 355 until the MR2 copied it and from the 360 onwards aero and curves took too much importance over style. The 348 (in my opinion!!!) was the last Ferrari with real 'Ferrari flair'! You can get one for £20K now with less than 40K on the clock, but would be buyers beware, servicing/repair costs are still high. I can't afford to keep one running, but it doesn't stop me planning to get one as soon as I can!!!

The SW20 MR2 came out in 1989.

The 355 came out in 1994, so it did not copy it.

the 355 was the last of the true ferraris. the last v8 ferrari to be sold almost in entirely 6spd manuals vs the thousands of F1 gearboxed 360's. plus the 355 still has the classic ferrari lines, taillights and gauge cluster. 360 was the first of the "new age" ferraris. but the 360 is much more a ferrari than the 430 will ever be. i gotta say tho that the new 458 italia is actually pretty sweet looking for a 2010 ferrari

@fentoc A year on from making this post and I've finally been in a 348, but still not driven it (mean owner!). After being in a 612 Scaglietti ealier in the year, I much preferred the ride in the 348. Few people noticed the 612, but every stopped to watch the 348 drive past them, and it makes a much nicer sound. But my god, did it look an effort to drive!

What are you on ? lol, My 348 GTS has the spider exhaust and is 320 ish bhp, it also has power steering, what relevance is the comment about ONLY 300 bhp and its heavy? it my be heavy compared to more modern sports cars but that's technology doing its thing. I only wanted to show a car which I think is beautiful doing a doughnut!
