@jegerdust I noticed that too... But I disagree that she didn't have time to-- She kept saying "thank you" instead. I really don't think she loved him back, at least not in the way he loved her. She just cared more about saying thank you and passing on.

@gabrielajocson She didn't want him to be trapped, hence why she never admitted to it. The final scene is there way of saying that it all works out in the end.

@kezthepieman13 it is announced that they have already have chosen the cast for the second season and if you see the 13.5th episode that came with the DVD release. you will see that it might take place with different chars except our main otonashi.
